Upgrade stones--questions

Has anyone ever traded in a stone for a stone that was less money but used the difference plus for something else. I was toying with trading in my stone but everything I have found I like is less than what I paid. I was thinking maybe they would let me use the difference plus $5000 to buy something else?

hmmm good question, I have found a couple of stones that was less than what I paid for mine as well before when I was toying with the upgrade idea (smaller stone, different shape) but never asked about it. Hopefully some of the reps will chime in possibly

Some vendors may allow such a thing. You would have to ask. It would not be in the stated policy though.
