I would appreciate any suggestions on a round diamond for use in a simple platinum setting. I am looking for a diamond between 1.1 and 1.5 carats and costing about $8000. Thanks.

Welcome novicebuyer!! I am assuming that budget is just for the stone? Not sure if you plan on using your old plat setting? but you may be able to simply change over the head (if a simple peg head type solitaire). Just to save $$$

That''s great news. Not a problem, I love looking for sparklies! These are all top cuts, the best you can buy. They all are true H&A too and fantastic light performance. Any of those (or similar in that range ie. ACA from WF or H&A from GOG) will be stunning.

Good luck making your decision. If you narrow it down a bit, start a new thread and ask others to pick the best one. You will get more responses and others can help you get the best possible stone.
