Bought this peice from an auction. If anyone has the slightest knowledge of what it actually is, I would really appreciate it.

Appears to have had 3 stamps at one point ..but only one is legible at the moment which says 750.

If anyone can shed some light on this unknown peice. Family bought a very large gold cross from same auction about a year apart, but almost 30 years ago as well.

What did the Auction Catalogue say it is?

The dual sword motif looks like it could be part of a medal. The disc and bail were added to make it a charm or pendant. i think there are websites(google) to identify military medals.

I doubt it is a “military medal” as such. I feel that the insignia could be a family crest or a university or other group emblem. The 750 is for 18ct gold so it is a quality piece and the stylised “Greek key pattern” surround makes me think it’s Continental maybe Italian or Greek.
