Ultrasonic Cleaners - Brookstone)

Hi Psers,

I've read the threads and all the raving reviews on the shaper image ultrasonic. Now that it is unavailable (I can't even find it online since the stores are nonexistent), has anyone else found a reliable and inexpensive ultrasonic machine?

There is one at Brookstone.

Has anyone used that product specifically? It says that water is just fine, but would it be more worthwhile to add ammonium or the receipt solutions that the other threads recommended?

no such item. a pint size with a SS tank will run about $120 ? a heated QT size about $170.

So are the ones sold at Brookstone and Shaper Image (around $50) clean just as well as scrubbing it by hand? The cost is just for convenience?
