Hi all,

I'm bummed beyond belief. The ring I custom ordered from Facets/Signature Collection is GONE!! I get the Fed Ex package today and sit down at my desk all excited because it's a day early - I open the ring box and THERE IS NO RING INSIDE THE RING BOX!!! I called Facets/Signature and they are obviously concerned and they think it was someone at Fed Ex and Fed Ex thinks it's the jeweler... UGH. Drama - I hate it. Anyhoo, Facets is making me another ring (thank God!!) but I have to wait another 3 weeks to get it. Geesh!!! I've never heard of anything like this happening!!

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm so pissed and sad at the same time.

Ohhh! That STINKS! I just ordered from them myself, I hope this isn''t a regular occurrence!

No, I think it's pretty rare from what I gathered from SP and Fed Ex but still!!! Thank God that I don't need it for our ceremony! We got married last month. I really want my new Asscher band!!

So far so good with the customer service at Signed Pieces. I'll let everyone know when I get it and post some new pics with my engagement ring.

I think this recently happened to someone else on ps, but I can''t remember who. Crazy!!

I think facets was really good about making them a new one, but I don''t remember the details of what happened.

Wow... that ring was from SP too. My box was sealed but there was tape all around it so I don''t know if someone took the ring out and then retaped everything. This sucks.

I just hope my new ring is just as good as the one I was supposed to get. Hope it doesn''t happen to anyone else! It''s so disappointing to open a ring box and then nothing is there!!!

I''m sorry to hear. Wow, that really sucks! I found the other post about a missing ring from the FedEx box. Ring stolen out of FedEx box!

i was thinking someone just posted recently about having a ring missing from their fed ex box...

so sorry climb2cloud, what a bummer.

Thanks everyone. Maybe there is a lesson here... From now on, I''m going to open all of my jewelry deliveries in front of the Fed Ex/UPS person. So, God forbid this happens again - someone will bear witness to it.

It sure would have been nice to show off my sparkly new ring tonight in yoga class! Oh well, thanks all. I''ll let you know how it all turns out.

I''m going to go cry and eat some ice cream now.

Seems fishy that both these incedents happened with the same vendor. Anyone else think the same. Iam so sorry this happened to you. I think I would have a heart attack after I cursed every element in existence

At first I thought it was fishy that it was the same vendor and both arrived a day early. But unlike cloud9's, hanione's package was obviously tempered with and the ring stolen. I think it's just a bad coincidence. I don't think we should put the blame on the vendor.

I remember recently reading here on PS about someone getting the fed ex with the ring box inside, but no ring!
23.gif

Apparently the vendor sent out the ring box but forgot to put the ring inside the ring box before sealing up the Fed Ex and shipping it out. The vendor caught their mistake and sent a second Fed Ex with the ring in a little plastic baggie. Both Fed Ex boxes arrived the same day, so she didn''t have to wait to get her ring.

I can''t find the thread, maybe someone else can.

Life IS stranger than fiction!!!

That stinks. I do think it''s a good idea to open the box at the Fed Ex pick up station. I usually rip mine open in the parking lot. I hope your new ring arrives soon, and can''t wait to see it.

Hi SuzyQZ, that was me! Fortunately, I the jeweler informed me ahead of time that the first box would be empty and the second would have the ring. I imagine I would have had a heart attack if I unknowingly opened the ring box and didn''t find a ring!

climb2cloud9 - That''s horrible!! I''m glad Facets will be sending you another ring.

thanks kaleigh!! me too!!!

I don''t think it''s fishy when SP has been so accomodating in rushing new rings to the poor ringless recipients! But it is an unfortunate coincidence and when I receive my ring from SP in the near future I will surely open it at the FedEx station!

Glad your story had a happy ending Isyama!! I would have freaked out if this happened to my engagement ring!!

Seriously!! Open it right there in front of a fed ex rep!!! I'm sure you'll be fine. Considering how many pieces they ship, I'm sure this happens to a VERY small percentage but... why'd did it have to be mine!?!?!?!

Trying to keep it all in perspective though. There are worse things that could happen. Thanks all!

yea, I have opened all of my stuff in front of the fedex guy, made him stay and wait once. But be careful nothing falls out if you do that!

I was wondering, what does the pacakaging look like? do they have the name SignedPieces on the box? obviously a name like that would just be inviting theives. I can''t help but wonder if it is some error such as that in their procedure, some type of signal to crooks. do they double box? anything else you could think about that might give away what is inside? if so, then maybe some people should write SP about it?

In my experience it''s boxes within boxes. Takes a lot to get down to the final box. And there is a bubble envelope, holding the final ring box. It takes me forever to open these boxes, envelopes etc... Which when you are trembling with excitement doesn''t make it any easier.

Wow, that is awful. I am sure you''ll be anxious to get your new ring.

Sorry that is horrible! Hopefully they will get your replacement out ASAP!

What a bummer! I hope they get your new ring out to you soon.

I just wanted to add my condolences to you! How awfully disappointing. I had the unique experience of receiving my whiteflash ring via Fed Ex and found the box-within-the-box security packaging and finally, there it was, my gorgeous ring!! It was soooo exciting. I would have been crushed to find it empty.

It''s so hard to wait for for the first ring, let alone, the second one.

And lucky all of you, who''ve had the Fed Ex/UPS jewelry delivery more than once ! I would love to have that happen again.

So you are getting another ring - great.

When something like this happens, I try to think of all the really terrible things that some people are suffering in their lives, compared to my concerns, and it puts it back into perspective. Waiting for awful test results, etc. You know what I mean. So you get to wait for a lovely piece of jewelry and your company is supporting you 100 % Life is good.

I know we''ll all be getting to see your pictures soon enough!

I am sorry it happened to you and I am pleased that Signed Pieces once again proved that they stand behind their outstanding customer support and reputation.
I have been a customer of signed pieces for 3 years now and never had problems with shippment. I also has always been amazed with their customer service and how they work at pleasing the customer and making sure that customer is happy.

Thanks everyone for your support and kind words. I'm so grateful that I don't have to fight with Facets or with Fed Ex to get another ring. It's no one's fault except the thief that ripped me and the jeweler off. He/She will get theirs... I'm a strong believer in karma.

I'll post pics as soon as I get the new ring.

You are so right. I found out that same afternoon that my Stepmom has cancer. Really puts things in perspective.
