Who has the absolute best price on Uggs?

I looove the feel of Uggs and how warm they are... but I''m 5'' 2'' and wearing Uggs make me look like a tree stump

I still haven''t given up hope, though, and keep trying out new models to see if any of them won''t make me look short and stubby. I think I''ll try the knitted ones this weekend.
Mine aren''t the full up-to-the-knee ones. They go above my ankle. (I''m 5" 4") I bought the shorter ones because I don''t like to wear skinny jeans and so my boot cut fit over the uggs. Oh, and for rain, I bought rain boots with awesome fleece take-out liners. They''re so yummy and cool. Good for gardening!

I don''t wear skinny jeans, either, but I got the taller and don''t have too many problems. Now, I don''t wear mine to be fashionable at all - really, they''re my "wear on my way to work" shoes in the winter, but I''ve found some ways to get around the lack of skinny jeans: I''ll either tuck my dress pants into them (this is not the prettiest look), roll my jeans up, tightroll my jeans to stuff them in or - this cracked me up when I figured it out - I''ll get out my summer capri jeans and wear those with my uggs if I''m going to be wearing my uggs all day as actual shoes.

It''s really hard to find much of a price difference on Uggs, no matter where you buy them, unless it''s way out of season and someone is having a sale on them. I''ve bought from Zappos a few times and the free shipping cuts down on the cost a bit (and free return shipping is nice if they don''t fit or you don''t like them for some reason!).

Other than that though, it''s hard to find much of a price difference!

If I needed snow boots (sadly I don''t!) I''d get these by Pajar:

These are fine, but sometimes ya just need to put boots on quickly! :)

That''s what I''ve found to be true as well. . . they really don''t go on sale and the price is pretty much the same all over.

I have UGGs for house slippers. (the ones with no backs)

I'd never wear them outside especially in the snow.
The beautiful suede would get all yucky with salt.

Plus they are not constructed to really support the foot or the arch.
They're really constructed more like slippers.

Ahh.. the wisdom of kenny. Thanks for saying what I meant to, but in a far less inflammatory way!

Double post.

Yeah, Kenny definitely put it better. Some people were put off by the "incredibly trashy" comment...

Sorry gals, but I have to say I think I''m more put off by Kenny''s rather graphic picture than MishB''s comment. (Maybe i''ve been playing too much Rainbow Six these days.. head shots, yanno?)

Uggs aren''t the most fashionable shoes ever, but they sure are toasty. I get the smallest size I can so they don''t look like astronaut boots, and try to cover them up with my boot cut jeans. I find they can almost pass for regular shoes that way wihout giving up the comfort.

I was Uggphobic, but sweet Harriet helped me overcome my fears and I ordered a pair of black Ultimate Tall Braid Uggs last winter and I LOVE them. They have a bit more traction on the soles and the foot tops are less MoonBootylicious than regular Uggs, IMHO. Like Elmorton, I mainly wear them to get from my house to my car and car to the office, and then I put my heels on. I also wear them to yoga. I don't ever want to go through a Canadian winter without them!

My mom has those in brown and she loves them. They''re perfect for winter weather!

Oooh, nice! They ARE fantastic for winter and the sole is thicker than regular Uggs. I do like those Bailey Button Uggs though. Super cute!

The Ultras do have much more traction and support, hence why I imagine they''re now in the "weather" section on the website! Last year I got a gorgeous new pair of weather-proof waterproof leather ones, and they are just a DREAM. Can bounce through 1 foot puddles of brown slushy Chicago snow goodness, and they wipe off dry and shiny as soon as you take a paper towel to them! Sadly, I don''t see such options on the website this year (besides the rain boot looking type!)

Their slippers are also to die for, if you haven''t had them yet!

FI and I are both on pair number 2, and just can''t get enough!

Just give it a try! I''m also a stubby 5''2" (or 5''1.5... rounding up!) and thought the same about wearing taller boots myself. Most of the time I wear them under my jeans, but with well-fitting skinny jeans, they do look cute even on us shorties! I guarantee it''s much more in your head than anything else!

This has me worried, as I''m a size 9.5 and ordered a 10, I figured with big thick socks.... think I should''ve gone with a 9???

Well, I got my boots.

BEST BOOTS EVER.

Oh my gosh they are SO WARM.

I''ve been wearing them around the house. I probably could''ve gotten a 9, but with thick winter socks I think a 10 is ok. But good god these things are so comfy. I get why people think they aren''t as cute now, but I DO NOT CARE. These are... heaven for cold toes. :D

Here they are! My kitty was just...

"omg whatever this is I LOVE it"

OMG swedish is that the gem from Finewater in your avatar???

I LOVE!!!!!!!

I was coveting it for the longest time!!!!

I wear mine in snow, but after a bit of wetness, it definitely soaks through....

Why yes it is!!! I broke down and got it :)

Aaargh the stone is perfection! I envy you so much right now

I just bought a peridot to nurse my pain

LOl I started a thread about it before buying it- it seemed a lot of people liked it----- BUT it was to small for them. That''s when I decided to foster and then adopt the poor homeless hot pink sapphire :D

I have Ugg clogs and Cougar (canadian brand) boots. I have to say I love my Cougars - rated to -15 degrees F and incredibly easy to slip on and off.

I bought my first pair this year - and they are the knit Ugg Cardys. They are so cozy!!

They might not be perfect in snow - I will let you know!!

Oh...and I''m trashy I guess! ha!

Swedish, uber cute!!!

I got my Uggs out of storage the other night with all of my other close-toed shoes, and then I woke up the next morning to a dream that it was SNOWING! I think the last thought I had before bedtime was "Hello, Uggs, I''ll be wearing you before we know it!" and that pervaded into my subconscious. Haha.

Btw...you will LOVE them. On my Xmas list this year is a pair of ugg slippers. They really are the warmest thing on earth.

UGG slippers MIGHT be the best thing in the world. Just perfect. And your feet don''t sweat in them like in some slippers! My FI loves them too. He is on his second pair!
