"Twist" Diamond Band: Created by Tiffany?

I saw a white gold diamond ring with a "twist" at my local jeweler, and they told me it was modeled after a Tiffany style. Some research showed that the inspiration is the Tiffany Embrace band (image below). Does anyone know if this style ring was created by Tiffany, or is it simply something they popularized? I'd like to support my local jeweler but would rather buy direct from Tiffany if it's something they created. Thanks, folks!

I don't think the design originated at Tiffany; but I admit I largely base that on the fact that Stuller and James Allen both have versions of that band for sale on their websites ...
