Trade Up Policy at ID Jewelry?

They do. At least they told me they would when I was ready to upgrade. But honestly I dont think I could part with the original stone I proposed with.

I spoke to Luann a few months ago about this since I am interested to upgrade and I am unsure about pears or rounds.

She told me that their upgrade policy only applies for rounds, not for fancy shapes, even cushions. As for color and clarity I think they are more flexible (based on my phone conversation with her anyway). They usually have a spend double policy for upgrade, but since we intend to purchase a 5 carat now and possibly upgrade again, they have more room for negotiation for the spending policy.

given how much I love different shapes, it could possibly be an upgrade not in size but in terms of different shape and color! and hey never say never...DSS always sets in too quick!
