No way! I''m lucky if I get breakfast... ever! Oh wait. My DH makes pancakes for us every Sunday.

Oh hell no. Neither DH nor I are breakfast eaters; left on his own during the day, he won''t eat until 7 or 8 PM usually. I am in charge of food for dinner, but about half the time I pick up food rather than cook.

If he ever convinces me to breed maybe I''ll have to change my ways, but I''d more likely do what my mom did- cold cereal, self serve, or nada.

By the time I was 12 I preferred coffee to food in the AM, and I''ve never really changed that habit.

Ditto, neither of us are big on breakfast. Infact if I try to eat alot too early, it makes me feel queasy, and Fi is the same

I do really like a late b'fast though (or brunch I guess) - I will make a fry up late morning on the w'ends.

Or this is our new fave - but its a treat only.
(Jamie Oliver recipe):

Make 'french toast" with crumpets, soaking in egg, but add a chopped up fresh chilli to the eggs.
Cook bacon.
Put bacon on top of eggy chilli crumpets, and top with maple syrup.

I know, it sounds wrong, but its soooo right! Its Fi's fave at the moment, lol..The cry of "eggy crumpets!" can often be heard at our house on sundays..

If by make breakfast you mean pour myself a bowl of cereal and make sure that there is enough milk left for dh, then yes. If no, then no.

Actually, I think dh and I both prefer cereal in the morning, or else I would be tempted to make something evevy once in a while. I''m not big on heavy found in the morning.

Yes, but it''s usually something simple like cereal during the week. During the weekend, we make a big breakfast and hubby makes the best homemade waffles. I have to eat breakfast when I first wake up (low blood sugar) so I don''t feel like I''m gonna pass out.

I LOVE cereal. My morning routine is light vanilla soy milk + Special K. It''s not a good day without it!

He loves coffee. It''s not a good day without it! Most mornings he''s not a breakfast eater.

Occasionally I''ll pull out all the stops on the weekend - eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, etc. But only for him - I''ll still eat cereal.

I make coffee for my husband every morning, he handles his own food (he usually eats after I leave the house). I make myself either cereal w/ a banana on top or instant oatmeal and a cup of tea.

My FI does

At the very least I eat a bowl of cereal. I also try to make sure I have time to make myself a latte for my commute. If no latte then I make a travel mug of tea. If I have more time I will cook a couple of eggs.

I do love making a big breakfast on the weekends. Eggs and turkey bacon! MMMM

I was thinking about this just last night as I was about to fall asleep. I was thinking how nice it would be for DH and I to have breakfast and coffee together each morning before we go off to work. However, we never eat breakfast and DH is still snoring by the time I jet out of the door at 6:15AM every morning....oh well

Yep, we both rip open a packet of instant oatmeal. We like the Kashi maple and brown sugar. And we both will get a headache if we skip coffee.
If not, I have a stash of Kashi GoLean bars in my office desk. They''re great if I don''t have time for breakfast because they have 6 grams of fiber and 13 grams of protein. It''s a little too much sugar (31 grams) but hey, so is the poptart alternative.

bowl of cereal ain''t breakfast

what ever happen to bacon and eggs with toast for breakfast?

We had mini steaks (leftover from dinner last night) and eggs today. I manage to get egg beaters omeletes or eggs up about 3 times a week. The rest of the time it's cereal.

Of course.

For myself.

Yep, I usually have two sausagues (sp?), toast, and tea (I love super strong tea, and put two teabags in 8 oz of water)

Only for my daughter.

Ha, DH and I eat cereal every morning - and usually DH pours mine because I'm an ogre in the am.

But, I do make killer breakfast on weekends or snow days (like today). This morning, DH feasted on pancakes, OJ, and hot chocolate when he came in from blowing the snow from our driveway. :) While I love to cook anyway, I really like cooking breakfast things - eggs, hash browns, toast, turkey sausage or turkey bacon, breakfast sandwiches, scrambled egg skillets, biscuits and gravy...yum, yum, yum. There's really no difficult breakfast entree (with the exception of omlettes...for the life of me, I can't get them to look like a restaurant's) and without a doubt, you'll please whomever you're cooking for.

Hungry yet, DF??

Well, I''m not a lady for one, but most mornings, I do make breakfast. If I don''t he does.

Definitely! Can''t skip breakfast. After getting the kids fed and off to school, I have a bowl of oatmeal with applesacue or fresh fruit, then get out of my jammies, and into workout gear. After my workout, I usually have egg whites..or a protein smoothie..my 2nd breakfast.

No. I am lucky if I can get my kids to eat breakfast! About 1 or 2 Sundays a month I will make a big breakfast, but the rest of the time it is cereal or oatmeal.

*cringe*..is a poptart considered a breakfast item? I wouldn''t even know what category of food it fits into..oh wait, I don''t think it IS a food item. LOL
Good choice with the oatmeal and Kashi Starset!

FI makes my breakfast pretty much every morning. He is the cook in our dyad. If I had to I probably would never eat breakfast ever!

I make breakfast for myself (fruit, cereal and yogurt usually) every morning. For DH, I make him breakfast always on the weekends, and also when he doesn''t have to get up super-early for work. Breakfast for him most often consists of fresh coffee (literally grind the beans fresh), a toasted whole-wheat bagel, and some peanut butter and banana on the bagel. For special occasions I''ve been known to make pancakes, waffles, omelettes, and/or cinammon rolls.

Of course I do! Haha - Not really...I am a troll in the morning. The kids have cereal on weekday mornings. DH and I usually have protein shakes. I occasionally make eggs or something like that.

On weekends DH is the chef! He is a really outstanding breakfast cook. He often brings coffee and breakfast to me in bed...My favorite thing!

My hubby makes himself breakfast every morning... protein pancakes, or srambled eggs and oatmeal. He''d make it for me too if I wanted. he does brew me coffee everymorning... YUM!

I prefer to sleep in and just drink my breakfast!

Yes, I pop my can of Diet Dew while giving JT cereal or muffin or fruit and yogurt.

I usually eat something around 10 or so.

BF makes his own because he''s up earlier than I am.

I always have breakfast. Usually two pieces of toast with peanut or almond butter and a banana. Sometimes, if I have time, I''ll make some eggs and toast or oatmeal--but that''s rare.

On Saturdays (If I don''t have class) we go out for breakfast to our favorite diner and on Sundays I make him whatever he wants--usually consists of pancakes, eggs, bacon (if we have any) and left over rice and beans mixed and heated up (Colombians call it "Calentado"

)

::sigh:: I love breakfast

I make my hubby and myself a pbj sandwich every weekday morning. Usually one day of the weekend I will make the whole spread of pancakes, eggs and bacon... the other day we grab some fast food or eat out.

If opening my can of diet coke while I drive to work counts, then sure, I make bfast every day. Sometimes I get fancy and nuke some oatmeal.

On the weekends, I will usually make grits or something easy. If I like the pancake or waffle special at my favorite bfast place, then I try and talk DH into going there. It''s gingerbread waffles this week. I''m voting for going out. (I''m patiently waiting on the red velvet pancake special to pop up).
