I say go for it! I''m shopping for a Lucida e-ring too, and there is NOTHING that is like it. You wouldn''t have to tell anyone that it is from Tiffany''s for them to know, because there is nothing like it! There are knock offs of the ring, but you can tell that they aren''t real because they just don''t have the same brilliance in the platinum. I won''t be getting a $53k ring, God help me, I don''t think I''d be able to carry that big of a ring around on my little hand, but I do want the same ring you do because it is the most beautiful setting I''ve ever laid eyes on!

If your boyfriend has saved for 5 years to buy you a ring that you are going to wear for the REST OF YOUR LIFE, then by all means GET IT!!!!

I''m sure that he is smart enough to also save for the other things that the other people here have been mentioning, because he seems like a really smart guy if he has managed to save $10k a year just for a ring!

The final decision is going to be a simple one. You will wear this ring for the rest of your life, so you should get one that you are going to want to wear for the rest of your life. People rush into getting married every day, and from what you''ve said you seem to be taking your time. If after 5 years of wanting to marry you, (which I''m assuming you''ve been together for longer than that), he still wants to marry you (pardon the sarcasm), then you should honor his commitment by allowing him to put his hard earned and hard saved money to where he intended it to go!

Good luck to you both, and may God bless your lives richly!
