Tiffany style setting and flush fit with band?

I know this doesn''t quite fit in the Rocky Talky forum, but I searched for previous similar posts and they were all on this forum.

I''m looking for a Tiffany style solitaire (not ''tiffany-like'', but just like the real thing). The genuine article seems to provide a flush fit with simple Tiffany knife-edge wedding bands and with Tiffany channel set diamond bands without a notch in the wedding band

Questions:
1. Do the Tiffany bands allow a flush fit without a notch?
1.1 Is this only for a range of diamond sizes, or for all sizes?
2. Do replicas like the Superbcert and the new Whiteflash one also allow this flush fit without a notch?

if no one knows, you can go to the store and check it out. I would recommend going in there anyway. Thats what I did. I had the exact same question about the Tiffany Lucida, and guess what? It does not sit flush! I tried on the Lucida setting w/ the Lucida band (about 3 mm wide) and there was a bit of a gap, not really bad but just sort of funny to me that it was there. The gap was much more noticeable with a thinner eternity band (maybe 2 mm). Anyway, the whole experience was fun and put an end to my speculation. Besides I was given a lovely little blue "ring buying guide" for my trouble.
