Tiffany setting help!

I would love to reset my current 1.8 ct RB into a Tiffany setting. My question is can a setting that originally held a .25 ct be modified to fit a 1.8? I am considering buying the setting with the smallest diamond they make so that I can get the real deal. I haven't seen a replica that I truly love.

Hi Candygrl! I love the Tiffany 6-prong setting as well! Unfortunately, a head made for 0.25 will most definitely not accommodate your stone. It would not hold much larger than the 0.25 ct stone that it was designed for...

You mentioned you hadn't seen a T&Co repro you liked, but have you seen the Vatche U-113? It's beautiful and has been known to fool even the Tiffany employees. You can also have Vatche set the diamond higher if you'd like...

Another PS'er posted a Sasha Primak 6-prong that looked REALLY AWESOME! It has a sharper knife edge than the Vatche, and looks more like the real deal to me.

I have the Vatche U-113 and so do several people here. They set the stone at the exact right height, as far as I am concerned. Not too low and not too high.

My personal preference is for the Vatche U113, but Excel makes a nice replica of the Tfifany too.
