Tiffany Legacy look-a-like

My girlfriend sent me her xmas list which included the Tiffany Legacy cushion halo ring. It is well outside my budget, but I came across a ring on Costco's website that looks very similar, and I'm looking for opinions. I would really like a certified diamond but obviousy would not get that with Costco's ring.

The description makes it sound like you can get it in both a round and princess, the picture is princess, and the description says round.

I also found the Vatche Grace ring, but by time you add a 0.70 diamond to it you're getting up in the $6k range

Here's a link to the original Tiffany Legacy

Any thoughts?

Call Costco about that. I was under the impression that all of their diamonds are GIA graded and you will get the the GIA certificate. Only the "one of kind" items online will have the GIA report actually uploaded on their website.

Read more here and defintely call:

Yeah this is for an engagement ring. I prefer round center stone, but I don't think she is too concered weither it is round, cushion, or square. I think the "cushion" shaped halo is all she's worried about. From my limited knowledge the round will give the most sparkle.

I think Costco only provides a GIA cert for center stones over 1.0ct

I wouldn't just buy on a guess about this. Seriously. A princess has very different visual performance than a cushion or round. Maybe she isn't being explicit because she thinks you'll just go to Tiffany. Maybe she thinks that only a cushion would ever go in a setting like that. Don't assume.

What's your total budget?

This is something she's going to wear for the rest of her life... if you are in a financial bind or if you are a student I get going with cheapest possible within certain parameters. But if that's not the case... you REALLY do get what you pay for with jewelry.

It might be good to put some more time and effort into it and find out the differences in quality and so forth to make sure you get a ring worthy of her and the commitment.

If you want a bang on "match" diamond wise, the closest stone to the real deal is a Crisscut cushion or asscher. But if you like something similar, a nice cushion with the recommended settings will be GORGEOUS.
