I have found this beautiful 14k gold money clip cleaning out one of my vacant properties. It is most definitely solid 14k I had it shot buy one of those fancy $18,000 guns that refiners use. But my question is... Is this authentic? Has anyone seen this item before? And if so what's a value range? I know that the locket has been personalized with initials and the price needs a buffing but I'm clueless.

Thank you in advance!

What a cool piece! I have no idea whether or not it is authentic, but if you bring it to a Tiffany and Co. they should be able to help you. I know Tiffany used to and still does sell all sorts of accessories and not just rings. I love the original initials on it, but it might not be your cup of tea. As far as value, you might want to search eBay for comparable items and see what it goes for. Authentic Tiffany commands a higher premium than just your run-of-the-mill gold money clip, but it really depends on weight and condition as well.

Looks authentic to me. Most copies are the silver ones and in the current “popular” items. The styling seems Art Deco to me, but this “style” was also revisited in the 70s. And yes, as a Tiffany piece it is worth much more than melt value (don’t melt it please!,,,,). Get the initials buffed out by a jeweller and a professional polish. A number of auction houses have “fine jewellery” auctions so that’s a possible selling venue, though the commission they charge is pretty high, like around 20%.

My hubs has a few money clips from Tiffany, but in silver.
This one looks very cool.

I think the first thing I would ask is: Has Tiffany ever used 14k as opposed to the 18k they're known for? I have no idea if they did or not, but I think any good antique store, and of course Tiffany themselves would know.

It's a unique and lovely clip! I don't have any particular knowledge about vintage Tiffany to share, so please take my comments with a grain of salt

There are two details that Make me question this piece's authenticity. First: the rivets used to attach the locket to the clip. That doesn't look to me like a technique a high-end jeweler would use, especially in a area that could be stressed. Second: the engraving does not look to me like what you'd expect from Tiffany, although of course it could have been added much later.

I do hope for your sake that my speculation is way off base! Please do let us know what you find out.

I'm wondering it this could be 2 pieces joined together? A plain Tiffany money clip, with the initialed part added later?
