Does anyone own a 2.2mm Tiffany round brilliant channel set full eternity band? I have just chosen this over all the other eternity bands I've looked at - and plan to eventually wear it stacked (this will be the e-ring, and I will add others - "celebration rings" if you will!). This ring seems to be largely ignored on this board, but I found it to be simple and elegant (and very comfortable!)...I just wonder why it doesn't get much love on this forum? I see lots of posts about Tiffany Novo and Lucida eternity rings which are also gorgeous and I considered them too...and now I'm second-guessing my choice. Does anyone own the channel set eternity, and how do you feel about it?

I have the 3 mm Tiffany round channel set band - click on topics under my avatar and see Tiffany Anniversary for pics - I'm running out the door again and no time to post them! Sorry - I will check back later though!

I love the band - gorgeous and comfy!!

I think all the Tiffany bands are gorgeous! I happened to pick the Legacy band, but I'd be happy to have the one you are talking about as well! It is a classic, timeless style! My only warning to the younger ladies is that your ring size very well change over the next 40-50 years, and I almost think a half diamond band is a safer choice.

I think the Tiffany channel set band is gorgeous too! I think pave is has been super popular the last few years but classics, like a channel set band will always be beautiful and "in." I think your idea to stack it with other bands in the future is a great one too!!

Your ring is beautiful MissGotRocks! This makes me feel better about my decision :) Stargurl - thanks so much for the tip, this is helpful. I did notice that the Facets ring has a small gap where the diamonds don't go all the way around - this will be good for sizing down the road. Do you notice this - does it turn so that you see the gap sometimes? I have looked in several shops and have not seen an eternity ring that I like as much as the one(s) at Tiffany, but as others have mentioned, maybe it is all about the store lights! I'd be afraid to order from an online store...have you compared the one from Facets to the ones in the Tiffany store, and if so, does it have the same sparkle (under the same lights)? I'm very excited about wearing this ring - like a ring of light or fire!

I think the sparkle comes more from the stones than anything and I'm guessing the Facets stones are comparable to the Tiffany ones. I can tell you, however, that I tried on many bands (both channel set and others) and never did I see a channel set band that I liked as well as the Tiffany one. In all fairness, I never tried on the Facets band but there was something about the Tiffany setting that just blew the others out of the water. The stones are practically touching girdle to girdle, the 'channels' are very thin and there are no dark areas behind the stones. I guess the groove that they sit in is not deep so it just looks like a ribbon of diamonds. You can buy many channel set rings much cheaper than what I paid for the Tiffany one but for me, it was worth every penny!

Hopefully this picture gives an idea of what I mean - the ring just seems fluid and seamless. . .

Hi Silverlilly! The ring that is showing on the Facets site actually is a full eternity, I think where you are seeing the metal gap is just on the inside of the ring (maybe so there is room for the stamps?). I actually requested that mine be a 3/4 eternity so that I could size it in the future if necessary (and yes it does spin and yes it is annoying). So if you're not too concerned about future sizing, I would go with the full eternity. I honestly went to EVERY single jewelry store in my area when I was looking for a wedding band and I didn't like anything with my e-ring except for the Tiffany channel band. I actually bought one just so I could take it home and show my (now) husband to see what he thought. We both loved it but ended up returning it because we just couldn't afford it. I had seen the Facets bands on PS and decided to contact them, even though I was nervous about purchasing a band I hadn't seen in real life. Leah sent me 2 of their sample channel bands (the 2.3mm & the 2.5mm) before the purchase so that I could see if I liked the styles and decide which width I preferred. When I got my band it sat too tall off of my finger (2.2mm instead of the 1.5mm thickness/depth stated on the website). They sent me a label to return it and re-did the ring for me. The diamonds sparkle like crazy and I am VERY happy I went this route.

You can't go wrong with the Tiffany band but I do think Facets is an excellent alternative if you don't want to spend Tiffany prices. Good luck and make sure you come back with pictures of whatever ring you decide to purchase!

You are all so helpful! Thank you - it's so nice to talk to a few others with experience in this. Stargurl, this is all great info - it sounds like facets has amazing customer service! I've never heard of such great help with a purchase from an online shop. I will definitely keep this in mind. I also really appreciate your objectiveness about the Tiffany ring even though you own the facets one! And MissGotRocks, this goes for you too :) I will post pic when I have this ring on my finger - I agree with all that it is an elegant, timeless piece that will never go out of style...I love the pave ones too, but I honestly find them a bit "rough" against my other fingers and comfort is a must for me! Plus the channel protects the diamonds, and I'm not exactly gentle with my rings, so this could be a very good thing. I'm becoming more and more comfortable with my decision...thank all for your feedback and help!

You are more than welcome - please come back with pictures when you choose your ring!

You're welcome!

I love stacked sets and I wouldn't mind getting a few more bands myself. I think the channel band is a good one to start with.
