Tiffany and Co. Elsa Peretti alphabet necklace

Hi all!
Have been trying to find the answer to this question all over the internet, but then saw some forum posts here and see a LOT of you are very versed on Tiffany items......

I have had a medium letter "k" pendant for a long time. It has the elsa peretti signature engraved on the pendant, as well as the clasp. Pendant also has usual "Tiffany and CO", 925 etc. on both pendant and chain clasp.

I just bought a small "d" directly from Tiffany's and there are no markings on the pendant. The chain has all of the usual markings on the clasps.

So, my question is, could my "k" be a fake? It was a gift, came with gift receipt, pouch, box, whole shebang. But could the markings indicate this is a fake. Do the mediums come with markings and the small not? Any of you with small Elsa Peretti alphabet pendants - are there engraved marking on your pendant?

All I can offer is to tell you that I have an older Peretti medium sized "bean" necklace that has the hallmarks on it and on the chain. I bought my daughter a "mini-bean" from Tiffany's last year and it did not have hallmarks on the bean, but the chain did.
