Threads Missing

A couple of times recently I have seen threads, gone away for a while, and when I come back, the thread is gone. I believe it may have just happened. When this happens, is it because there were warnings by the mods and then it was deleted, or is there something I'm missing? There were some threads like this recently in CS that disappeared, and after the fact, its hard to know what happened

Are deletion of threads common?

Threads are removed for one of two reasons generally:

1. There was significant namecalling, rudeness, or other violations of our policies that could not be easily removed or fixed. We have limited time and patience and if a thread is out of hand unfortunately that sometimes means closing/removing the thread.

2. The OP asked for it to be removed.

#2 happens much more often than #1 on Pricescope.

Thanks, Ella. Sometimes I'm pretty sure a thread has been removed, but then I wonder if I've just lost track of it, like the CS thread recently...
