Hi OP, looks nice enough, no major problems that I can see, should be a nice stone. If the price is in budget with your expectations, I don't see a reason not to buy it. if you want more specific help, ask more specific question. This is a great forum with active posters who just love giving their opinions and share experience. How do you plan to set it?

Re: Thoughts on this diamond?

Thanks for the response.

My budget is approx between $4 to 5K AUD (so I guess a little less USD). The price of this one falls within that range - is that a good price?

I am looking at this for an engagement 18kt yellow gold ring likely a solitaire with a 6 prong finish. Would the 6 prong be a suitable setting?

My partner isn't a big jewellery wearer currently but I want to get her something nice, but simple.

I am a little concerned with the clarity characteristics, would they be noticeable?

Thanks in advance

nothing wrong with the diamond and you wont see inclusion in a VS1.

for more bang for buck, if you going with 6 prong yellow gold, you could go for an I colour Si1 and go for size instead. you could probably find a 0.9x ct.

just my two cents.

I agree. You could probably even get away with a J SI2.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback.

Since then I've gotten an ideal scope image of the diamond posted in the OP. I would be willing to hear your thoughts please!
