Thoughts: Will these prongs ruin the diamond shape?

Hi everyone!

My partner and I have chosen a heart shaped diamond and fallen in love with this Tacori setting http://www.whiteflash.com/engagemen...-flat-edge-solitaire-engagement-ring-2551.htm which they will modify to accommodate a heart shape.

My concerns are the prongs being such a prominent part of this otherwise perfect setting. I am worried that the prongs look quite large and being so pointy may take away from the heart shape of the diamond and I should ask for a more subtle less noticeable prong style.

What is your opinion? Do you think that it will be an issue?

We don't know where they plan to position the prongs yet, I am waiting to hear back from Whiteflash about that.

No expert here, but those are very prominent prongs. I think their design would dominate over the shape of the heart rather than showcase it.

Thanks, that was my concern too. I asked Whiteflash if they could be changed as Tacori are charging for custom work anyway, but apparently they can't do the setting with any other prongs and we would have to choose a different setting altogether which is not what we want.

Almost wonder whether we were better off taking the picture as an inspiration photo to elsewhere for custom work but my SO wants to get the ring process rolling. We will just have to trust Tacori designers to choose the best prong placement for us.
