Hi Everyone!
I''ve been reading posts for sometime now and cannot emphasize how informative and helpful everyone here is. I’ve learned so much over the last several weeks, which has made this task of looking for the “perfect stone” less daunting! I’m so surprised to see how respectful is of everyone…I feel so lucky to have come across this site.
I’ve had my heart set on a Round Brilliant for sometime now. While recently browsing on engagementringsdirect.com, I came across a stone, went to the GIA website and pulled up the report from the Certificate Number that was provided by ERD. Here are the specs:
Measurement: 7.72-7.76 x 4.81m
Carat Weight: 1.79
Color: J
Clarity: VS2
Cut: Excellent
Depth: 62.1%
Table: 57%
Crown Height: 15%
Pavillion Depth: 43%
Cutlet: None
Price: $10,190.00
I ran the numbers on the Cut Advisor link I found and it came back as “1.3-Excellent”. I think this stone, based on the numbers, seem great. The only "concern" is that my BF has an issue with it being a J color.
Do you think I should give up the size and go with something smaller in at least an I? So many of you are so willing to offer your advice so I thought I would give it a shot.
Thanks in advance!!
