Thoughts on these ovals?

Hello!

First time posting on PS, and excited to hear the thoughts of the group on some stones I may purchase.

I'm planning to propose soon, and my girlfriend wants and oval shape with a halo setting. I've been working to find a stone, and have been meeting with a local jeweler. Before pulling the trigger on one of his options I wanted to look online first to ensure I was aware of what else was in the market. After scanning a number of sites, I've found a few stones I'm interested in and I am hoping to buy one (and return if it isn't as good as expected). I'm struggling to determine the best value stone and would love opinions. My criteria is oval, 2-2.2 carats, VS2 or better, H or better, and a high-quality cut. It's often hard to know on ovals without seeing them in person (e.g., bowtie effect), but I figure the community could be helpful!

Hi Lalala. Thanks for sharing that stone.

I'm looking to purchase pretty soon, and looking for something 2.0+ in carat weight - so I don't believe that August Vintage oval will fit my criteria, but thank you for sharing.

Wow. That cut he achieved is quite good. Certainly as good as the any of the best ones I've seen.

I wrote him to see if he would have any stones that meet my criteria available or coming available soon. Thank you for sharing that

It looks like a 2 of those stones have florescence, which I forgot to mention I am hoping to avoid. The 2.22 looks great, but appears to have visible inclusions on the table - I'm surprised it is a VS2!

The 2.01 was would have been my second pick, the ASET shows there is light leakage (white areas) to the point of it being just an average performer, meaning you can find better. But it is also an 8 Main (A) oval cut so there is going to be either no bow-tie or at least a very minimized one and that is always a plus with ovals

If those white areas on the ASET were green I would have said go for it but sadly I do think you should keep looking. Sometimes people come across a stone that they really love so it depends on you.
