I''m questioning the color change though...doesn''t it look brownish? It''s not a pretty orange like the shifting tourmaline I have from Barry...

I retook the photos with a little less light. The first photo in the fluorescent light was not a good photo. I did retake the photo, it is primarily orange with a hint of brown. It reminds me of a hessonite garnet.

It was a horrible bulb and lighting setup I was using. I have switched how I take the photos as well. This is the way the stone appears to the eye. I am diffusing the light, this why the stones appear to have a lot of light in them. If you don''t diffuse the shot of the stone at all you end up with a blank looking stone. As you know when you take a photo it can be hard to get the right flash in the gem to represent what the stone looks like. I am always learning and trying to improve my photos to be true to life of the stone. Since this saves me money heh. Before the light i was using was not strong for one and the other was the bulb was not a good standard fluorescent bulb. I will try to retake the photos. As i get more time and things settle down here I will retake all of the photos. Just tons of works. Hope this helps.
