thoughts on a 1.25-Carat Emerald Diamond

Hi Guys

I have been looking for a while for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. From paying attention to what she's said about friends rings and asking subtle questions (probably hasnt worked!) I have figured out she'd really like an emerald cut diamond, which after lots of searching, has lead me to this one:

I'd love to know what you all think about it, as I am a total novice at buying this level of jewellery.

Can you request an aset or idealscope image of the stone? Numbers arent really enough to evaluate fancy cuts. You need
to work with a vendor that can evaluate the stones for you like GOG.

You could check out JA...they can get you aset images atleast.

Fortunately, you're thinking of purchasing thru a PS vendor. Unfortunately, like TYTY said, there's no way to tell how this stone may look or perform without a proper ASET (best) or IS image (not best for fancy, but will work). You should ask eternity diamonds if they can get the proper images so we can have a look at it.

You need at least a couple of pictures. An ASET would be great (and idealscope is useless for emerald cuts) but with pics at least we can tell you if it's a contender or not.

The second one is a dud too, but the third one has promise (though the 4th is still the clear winner in performance).
