Hello ollie30! I have only had this ring since April, but so far I can say that I would consider it durable. I have worn a 4.5 mm Diana band, and a 6 pointer channel set eternity band on my wedding ring finger for the last 11 years, so changing to a 2 mm band was a big change. It is much more dainty, and much more the style, although that doesn''t concern me that much. I saw you are looking to buy a .9 stone from James Allen, and so yours will look very much like the many pictures I''ve posted on here.

Some people talk about pave (or micro pave) being too delicate, but I say that I want sparkle, and the melee in this band provides that. I never even worried about the possibility of losing a stone when deciding to order it. I suppose if one did come out, I''d be sad to be without my ring while I had WF replace it, but it would not be worth it in my opinion to forego purchasing a ring because of the possibility of losing a itty bitty stone.

Some people question if the Ritani endless love the the micro pave legato are the same, and try to figure out what the differences are. I''ve looked at pictures of neatfreak''s ring, and it seems to me they are the same pave setting. Little bitty beads of platinum surround the small stones on each of the four sides. Each bead of platinum overlaps a diamond on either side. Neatfreak says hers is smooth, and I don''t think mine is smooth necessarily, but it doesn''t bother me a bit.

The head is very pretty. There are little swoops on the sides, and it sits low. It is like a little basket cradling the stone. Now when I look at the higher more traditional heads, I''m so happy that I went with this one.

The one thing I might bring up - the head does not gain any height off the band. Look at the side pictures of my ring. As such, finding a different band other than the one that matches it bothered me at first. Just my opinion, but I think it looks funny when the wedding band sits up higher than the e-ring. The one that matches it is 2.4 mm, and would look perfect. I''m also considering doing either a .02 or .03 point eternity band from WF and wearing that with it. I have not yet purchased a wedding band for it...will do that later this summer. This is the one that matches it - http://www.whiteflash.com/Wedding_Bands/Halo-Wedding-Band_1004.htm

Ok, I could go on and on about this ring...I do love it. I don''t think you would be disappointed, or find any durability issues. If you are worried about the diamond getting chipped, etc., maybe you should consider a bezel set. Me, I like the openness of the diamond - it is on display! There is no overpowering setting taking away from my awesome stone.

Since you are considering a JA stone, may I ask why you aren''t choosing a WF stone that they have in inventory? Was this about pricing and/or availability? My stone is awesome, awesome, awesome. It just seems it would be easier to deal with one vendor in case you didn''t like something about one or the other. If you wanted to look for a stone in their inventory, I''m sure many here could help suggest one.

Ok, I''m going to link to my many threads that have photos of this ring...for your viewing pleasure...

Oh, and about your question of the band looking small enough to make the diamond big. Well cut stones will have nice measurement sizes because they are not cut too deep. My measurements are 6.03-6.05X3.70 on this stone. But...just so you know...these "just a wee bit under a carat" well cut stones are not small. They are gonna look purrrty...

Ok, one last thread even though you didn''t really ask about the stone. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/i-want-your-input-stone-and-setting.60818/ Here is where I was considering what stone to get and folks weighed in with some great advice.

I''ve rambled enough...let me know if you have other questions. Congrats on your upcoming purchase!

Thanks Cinnamon for the response back. Actually I am planning on getting my diamond from whiteflash. What do you think of this diamond. The only thing I am concerned about is the color since the melee diamonds on the band is supposedly G color or better correct? What do you think of the diamond?

Well, I can''t see what the color is on the one you are ordering. Do you have a link to it? The melee of micro pave is so small that I don''t think color difference will matter. It is an excellent source of light return even though it''s really tiny, with some fire also showing up in certain lighting. Basically, the band is going to show up like it''s a shiny surface encircling the finger.

If you were ordering 2, 3, or 4 pointer eternity bands, color might matter a bit between the stone and eternity melee.

I didn''t see what color the stone you are considering is. Give us the link and everyone can look at the IS and plot and aset and then give you better comments on what we think. On the HCA chart, is scores like a champ!

Did you see the stones I sent you links to on your other thread?

Good choice as well. Although if the first one, the G SI1 is eyeclean, then I think it is a toss up. ''Cause if you go with the G, you have higher color. Cut first, color second, and then clarity - on a well cut stone. However, WF does tell me that H&A ACA stones will face up very white all the way through H and for some people, I on these round brilliants.

Since they are the same exact price, virtually the same measurements, etc, etc. I think it''s really a toss up. At the time I was getting mine, I went for G over H. But either way, you can''t really go wrong.

You could ask them if the SI1 is eyeclean, or just go with the one you have reserved. I can tell you that going with that H, and your question about the melee in the micro pave being G...no issues at all.

I might email them and ask Lesley or whoever you are working with which one they would choose, or to comment on each of the stones. They will likely tell you it is a toss up, just splitting hairs. But it doesn''t hurt to ask, just in case something they say makes you feel all that much better about your choice.

Have fun and don''t worry about your decision too much. It will look beautiful. If for any reason, you just aren''t satisfied, you can always return it within their return window.

I just bought a WF ACA I at .8 carats SI2 eyeclean and I think it looks beautiful. I compared it to my friends F 1.3 carat very beautifully cut diamond and it compared very favorably. Well, hers did look bigger

There was a diff in color, but she (the diamond guru of the office) said she thought it looked like an H. And she''s asian

and very particular and spent a looootttt of time picking out her diamond. I absolutely had to be careful with the money, so this color and clarity allowed me to get a big diamond--if money is no object then get what you want (and maybe want to brag about?) but if you just want a beautiful sparkle you certainly have many options. Mine cost $2400ish with PS discount. This ring is on my short list --I''d buy it in a heartbeat if I had the money, I am talking with WF now about how I can get the look at a lower price and they''ll be getting back to me Monday. Happy shopping!
