So I think I may have found the diamond I am looking for... i want to get the insight of fellow PSers on what they think about these 2 diamonds and what you think about this deal...

SI1 diamonds should be eye clean is that right? I have the certs for both of these diamonds...

for diamond #1 the notes on the cert say internal graining not shown, surface graining not shown.. there is a feather shown on the table.

--what does this exactly mean?

for diamond #2 the notes on the cert says clouds are not shown. the diagram shows some crystals on the table.

--the owner of the diamond wrote in their notes that this diamond has strong hearts and arrows.

let me konw what you all think!!!

They both look like they are very close. Same color, clarity, even the crown and pavillion angles are the same.
Is there any way that you can put them side by side and compare them using your eyes? That is the best gauge.
Eye clean means that you cannot see the inclusions at a social distance. Do check with your jeweller. Some SI1s are eye clean, some aren''t.
All the best

what vendor are these? can you ask for idealscope and / or aset images.
I agree with SMTF- seeing as they are both so similiar specs, from here it will just be analysis, either personal or buy an expert who you trust.

but the overrall diamond is good through right???

what about the price?

please let me know what you all think.. i cant see the diamonds in person since im not local to the jeweler (pearlmans)..

im about to pull the trigger want wanted feedback before!!

just going by the specs.....

i like #1 b/c of the smaller table.

isnt a larger table better so that you can see more of the diamond from a top down view?

Larger tables tend to make a stone look bigger; smaller tables can be more conducive to fire.

The tables on either of these stones are fine; both stones look like great prospects. Are they inhouse stones, and are both at the same vendor? If so, ask your vendor to compare them and tell you which he'd recommend.

If not, perhaps you should see if you can get Idealscope images for them.

they are not at the vendor yet.. ill ask the vendor to bring in both stones to compare and go with the best one..

thanks!!

so im going with the 1ct diamond.. the jeweler is bringing it in..

hopefully everything checks out!

since im not local to the jeweler what sould i ask for so i can see how the diamond looks? i asked for idealscope, got the cert already, and will have them send me some pics of how it looks

just my luck.. i told the jeweler i wanted to go with the 1ct stone and it turns out it was already sold..

damn!!!!

just when i thought i was about to purchase!!!

they are offering an SI2 stone with similar specs for 4100 due to the inconvenience but 4100 is about the going rate of a SI2 with those specs so i dont thnk im gettn a real price cut due to the inconvenience...
