Hi all-
I've been pondering resetting a solitaire pendant and stud earrings. Currently, the studs are set in yellow gold basket settings (they are just a skosh under .5 tcw, so not huge). The pendant is also set in yellow gold, in a very simple setting (I believe it's around 1/3 of a carat).
I am totally a white gold person, and, I'm bezel-obsessed, so I'd love to reset both in white gold bezel settings. I'm a little torn on resetting the pendant, because it was given to me by my parents when I graduated from college. But, I would love to have it in a white gold setting.
For the pendant, I'm debating between a sliding bezel or a fixed bezel. I think I'm leaning toward sliding.
For the earrings, I've found 2 options that I like. One is a bezeled martini setting, the other is a plainer bezel. I love the look of the martini setting, but I've read that some people feel that this type of setting stretches the piercing.
I'd love to hear your pros and cons for each setting. Thanks in advance!
