Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie and I live in sunny San Diego. A New Year's Eve baby from half a century ago. I am the proud mother of 3 sons, 29-golf pro, 21-UPS driver, 18-future rock star drummer (presently working at SeaWorld). Divorced twice and now engaged to the man of my dreams! Gosh, I can honestly say that I have done just about everything I have ever wanted to do: dancer, commercial actress, equestrian- My hobbies are, of course, diamonds, gardening, horses, jazzercise.
Raised an Air Force brat and moved every 3 years. Saw a lot of the US and loved being stationed in Puerto Rico most of all. I have resided here in San Diego for the last 24 years and have no plans to leave. Besides the 3 boys, our household also consists of my precious Taylor, a female anatolian shepherd and one FAT 8 year old goldfish.
I work as an Escrow Assistant, having changed careers from Human Resources Recruiter.
That's about all - sorry for the rambling. I guess when you get to the half century mark, there is a lot of stuff to try and cram into a small space.

I'm an Air Force brat too! We were stationed all over the place, McCoy AFB, in Orlando, Loring AFB in Maine, Plattsburg AFB in New York, and then spent some time in California, and outside of DC. I hated moving every 3 years as a kid, but now I'm glad that we did so much traveling, and got to see so many places, tho' never overseas. As a matter of fact when we were outside of DC, we went to the Smithsonian, and that's where I fell in love with diamonds, especially colored ones, when I was 6!

Glad to see you here.

Hi KMom! I am happy to be here!
Pinkangel, I too, loved the travel part but really hated being the new kid at school every 3 years! I think it really had an effect on who I am today, a person that feels I must make every happy around me. I have a difficult time saying no, and telling people what I really think sometimes.

Oh, how well I remember being the new kid too! And it always seemed like Dad got orders in the middle of the school year, which made it even more difficult. When you come in at the begining, at least everyone else was trying to adjust and make new friends too. When you came in in the middle, it seemed like all eyes were on you...could be very nerve wracking when you were just a kid!

Hi LadyHawk,

Welcome to PS! Glad to have you here.

Hi All! Michelle, I've enjoyed so many of your posts here on PS and never knew it was YOU!! Good to see you.
It's funny about the goldfish. Bought him for a quarter to shut up the boys, and as he grew, I would but a larger tank, he grew and grew, is now in a 20 gallon tank and is about 8 inches long and SILVER. The fatter he got the more the gold would disappear. Having been an apartment dweller with 2 sons, I was constantly buying portable pets:
hamsters, rats, birds. But the goldfish has outlived them all!

seattlemom! Ok, I'm still trying to figure out who is who? Some of you are confusing me!

Oh my! I never knew they could live that long. My sister always referred to fish and hamsters as the "Bic Lighters" of pets!
Off the fishy subject, how are you doing Tessa?

Hi LadyHawk, long time no see! My eldest tried to give the fish a bubble bath once....it was a mess.

Hi Stephanie, I had to reply since I see you have an anatolian shephers. My mom raises them and they are such a riot! Hope you enjoy yours as much as we all enjoy my mom''s.
