Remarks from Yoram...

My estimated opinion:

Polished weight estimation: 2.34 to 2.23ct+/-

Color: 10% G - 20% H - 50% I - 20% J.

Clarity: VS++ (I can’t visualize any inclusions in its natural rough state), but as you notice in the image, it’s a bit frosty.

Positives: Blue fluorescence which has the potential for a whiter outcome.

Clarity looks loupe clean in its rough state.

btw; the rough is 5ct something... ... I forgot the exact weight..

That is going to be one fabulous Octavia! :appl:

So so cool!

Awesome.
Thanks for posting.

I wish I had a pic of the rough stones our Octavias came from.

Wow, !!! That is the perfect rough and I am envious but extremely excited for you!!! :appl: :appl: :appl:

Toes cross hoping for an H VS2 stone. Jon said he wouldn't be surprised if it came back G VVS. I'm not that greedy...

Coffee time at Starbucks!

Stormy ...Why can't the cutter cut two RBs from this octahedral ?.. b/c I don't see a broken tip at either end.

I asked Yoram but he is extremely busy so it might be a while before I get a reply.

Very cool! It's going to be a great ring.

Very cool you get to see the rough, I am excited to see the outcome.

That is SO exciting!!!!

Oh that's just the best to see that. Great to have the pics of your diamond in its rough state. Makes it even better when
it is a long time poster who is getting it. I love Kenny's octavia especially the wide shoulders on it.

A larger 2 carat round would be what they would go for would it not rather than 2 1 carat brilliants. A 2 carat round would bring alot more money in than 2 1 carats would. An octavia would be in the middle of the two or maybe nearer to a large round (I don't know). I read it takes a stone twice the weight to cut a brilliant. Just guessing but in the first pictures is there not a bit missing or rounded at the very top and shown in the second picture again at the 9 o'clock point. Maybe I am just seeing things though as if it is, there is not much missing/rounded (as if filed down but by nature)

Wow - that's really special to see the rough your stone is going to be cut from! It really looks white, doesn't it?

I am really excited for you - I think we're all going to enjoy this transformation from rough to beauty!
