The ring of my dreams

Saturday SO and I went to have a late lunch and run a few errands. The restaurant we were going to was really close to Americus Diamond which we had previously gone to in the summer. I suggested we go after lunch just to get some more ideas of what type of engagement ring I want. So after lunch we drove over to Americus Diamond and I''m so glad we did because I found the ring of my dreams

. Before saturday I had my mind made up that I wanted a RB diamond engagement ring. But after seeing the ring at Americus Diamond, I am absolutely sure that is the ring of my dreams. It is a 2.03ct oval with a halo and pave around the band. I tried it on and didn''t want to take it off....but had to

Now I can''t stop picturing it on my finger. And to make it worse SO is teasing me about it saying, "can''t you just imagine it on your finger right now" and telling me how much he liked how it looked on me. Even saying how he got excited when I had the ring on my finger

. I feel like a total crazy girl because I just keep thinking about that ring. One good sign was that SO got the jeweler''s card and asked the jeweler to write all of the stats of the ring down

Now the only thing to do is wait and hope that amazingly stunning ring ends up on my finger

OT, but
perhaps someone can tell me how a wedding ring goes with an oval... are they set so high that the wedding ring sits underneath? Is it usual for the length of the oval to lie along the finger?

That is soooo exciting! I found the ring of my dreams about 8+ years before I actually got it. I was with my husband 13 years before we got married. (when you find the style that speaks to you, nothing else will do) My now ring is set exactly like the one I saw back then. I still have the site photo of the original one in my "Diamond Info" file I keep.

I took my macro lense camera and took pictures of my soon to be rings (wedding and E-ring) so that I could share or just sit at my computer screen and stare at them. You should too. Take hand shots and some in the ring holder thing. I would love to see your dream ring! Don''t use your phone! It will take crappy pictures! By using the macro, flash off, you can really see the detail! My saleslady didn''t mind at all! Hurry, go do it! I can''t wait to see!

The ring and the day sound lovely... but those mean men are really sneaky- with all those cards they collect.
