Shane Co. is nothing to write home about.I do have to say about 4 years ago I was looking to upgrade my diamond solitaire from a 1/2 ct to bigger. I went into the Shane Co. thinking they would be a much better store. I was wrong because when I walked in the help was horrible and treated me as if I knew nothing and couldn''t afford what I was looking for. Also, it took them quite a long time to even come and ask if they could help me w/anything. I was asked by the associate in the most rudiest attitude if she could help me acted as if she didn''t want to be at work. So I continued to be nice and told the associate what I wanted. The associate told me that they had what I was looking for in their vault of some kind but she was not wanting to take it out and show me because she said that I would not be able to afford it and I probably wasn''t buying it that day so she did not want to waste her time to take it out. Then she continued in her irritated attitude to help me and to ask if I wanted to finance and I said, "no ,I will be paying cash."She still wouldn''t let me see the diamond. So I left and went and paid cash for a stone somewhere else and have not been back since. I paid quite a bit of money for the stone about $3000-$4000 in cash. Sad to say that Shane co. had lost that sale and I am ready to upgrade to a different style and carat wt of center stone and I will not be purchasing from them. This also will be a cash purchase. What made it even more of a worse experience is that I drove about an hour or so to get there. I hope that everyone else will have a much better experience. So all I have to say is really shop around and find who has the best customer service. I will pay more money for the product to get better customer service.
