Thanks ebree!...now I look @ the test and lines seem normal..im just a freak!...will have my fingers n toes crossed..will give u beta update on mon!..thanks!

NYC, are you basing your ovulation date off of OPKs or something else? Do you know when you''ve ovulated other months? If AFF is significantly lighter, I wouldn''t be so sure it''s AFF. A lot of us jerkstores have spotting.

NYC, I''ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Today''s 16dpo and I tested again with a $tree and the thing still gives me a barely visible bfp. I decided it''s been long enough since the last digi (Tuesday), so I tried my last one and it came up pregnant! I''m sooo not impressed with the $tree tests. I mean, if there''s enough for a digi which is supposed to be only half as sensitive, you''d think there''d be a more definite line on the thing!

Yay on the digi! Now he''ll believe you!

I must say that I thought my ICs were great - never saw an evap and the line has steadily increased in colour. Couldn''t fault them really.

Not sure that they are more sensitive than a FRER - but they''re a darn sight cheaper!

Good luck with the beta nycbk!

Robbie, DH wouldn''t let me get $tree tests last night (they have them where is he currently staying, and not where I live) because of all the stress they''ve put you through. I tried to explain that they are still helpful in determining IF you should take one of the more expensive tests, but he didn''t care and told me to spend as much on FRER and other tests as I wanted! =) Yay for the positive digi!!!

Congrats, Robbie. I know seeing it in *words* makes it so much more real than in lines (that can be ambiguous). How is Sir Doubting Thomas feeling about it now?

NycB, good luck on getting a more definitive answer on Monday, girl.

**
I caved in and tested this morning. 11 DPO. I was so hopeful. It was negative. Paul told me it was most likely a wasted test since I should have waited until at least day 13 or 14 since I don''t know when to test, really (don''t know LP). Well, he doesn''t know all that, but he does know I told him last night that a negative today didn''t have to mean anything, really. He asked, "then why take it, Jen?" Ah. I don''t know. Why do I have these incredible urges to do it? No clue, really.

I don''t have any FRERs for this reason. If I did, I know I would take one too early, and "waste" more than a dollar. So, if I get some on Monday (or, if I''m feeling really really weak) Sunday night, then I can take one Tuesday morning, which would be 14 DPO.

I read on Fertility Friend that something like 70% of tests taken on day 10 are false, whether or not you''re preggo.

In other news, my temps. are keeping right on up there, so that is good (today was 98.68). I am starting to feel a little bit more like maybe there isn''t anything wrong with me and I do really drop eggs, but again, I don''t think I''ll have that confirmed until this cycle is complete and I don''t have FF swipe my O day for another one. A little late to be doing that now, but I still feel like I want to know for sure by having a completed chart to "proove" it.

Hey, we went to O''Charley''s last night. I don''t know if that''s a nationwide chain or not, but they''ve revamped their menu (which is good since there was NOTHING I liked before) and they have this pretzel crunch chicken. It''s great, if you haven''t tried it. I thought it would be salty because pretzels tend to be, but it wasn''t. Yummo.

Good luck to everyone with testing coming up or in the midst of egg catching.

I''m sorry, but I do hope you have a great time in Mexico.

There''s always next go-round, no?

***
Sabine, when are you planning to test? Good luck when the time comes!!

***
I didn''t take another test today, didn''t even think about it before I went to the bathroom first thing this morning. Probably for the better, anyway. I''ve been trying really hard not to get all stressed out about it and I think testing every day does that for me. It''s kind of like this was our first cycle of really trying, because it''s the first time we had any clue about when to be BDing, and even then, it got messed up a little bit. I think I''ve let myself get more hopeful than I should have, especially since we did only get that one BD in at the right time.

Today is 12 DPO and my temp. is still in the 98 range. I feel like my period is starting to "gear up" though, that mild tightening in your uterus type of thing. No spotting, though. So, who knows.

Anyway, I''m still hopeful, even though I feel like I shouldn''t be.

Hope everyone''s having a good weekend!

Fisher - you are my idol, oh to have patience like yours. I would totally have caved.

Fingers crossed that AF stays away.

If she does arrive, the positive things are that a) you ovulate and b) you will know how long your LP is which should make things easier for the future.

Anyway, here''s hoping for the first June baby!

Hey Pandora!

Isn''t it crazy how we started out as cycle buddies and I''m still in mine? Funny stuff.

Thank you for the thoughts; I''m trying really hard to be positive, but not too positive that I go into a total breakdown if I do get a period.

I was really hoping to be able to tell my mother in person if I were pregnant, and she''s visiting at the end of Oct. and first few days of Nov. I was looking up what my cyle could be like next go-round, if this one doesn''t work out, and I''d be expecting my period right around the time she leaves... Again, so who knows?

Hope your pregnancy''s going well, sweetie! Is this your first?

9 dpo here and I''m experiencing very light brown spotting, boo! Good news is that I only see it when I check my cervix but I''m also experiencing a little cramping. I just hope the bleeding doesn''t start until I lock in a 10-day luteal phase (Tuesday).

EBree- hope you got some good bding in!

Fisher- congrats on holding out...

NYC- sorry about AFF, have fun in Mexico!

Anyone besides Fisher getting ready to test?

Hi gals! Just wanted to let you know that I haven''t dropped off the face of the Earth! I''ve had a bad cold for almost a week, plus I''m only at CD11. The good news is that DH took the Fertell sperm test, and it shows that he has more than the minimum cutoff of motile sperm!! So I hope it''s just a matter of (a short) time before we successfully get pregnant. The test box says it''s 95.7% accurate for males.

He was SO nervous!! Way more so than when we got married or when he defended his PhD.

I wondered where you had disappeared off to!

Yay for super-spermies and Yay for your husband for taking the test!

I bet you both feel calmer and relieved to know that it''s just a matter of time and luck rather than anything wrong.

Hoping that this is your month!

Peony- did you take the test as well? DH and I were discussing buying the combo pack and I was just curious about your experience. I think that, for me, knowing that all is in order will make the wait to conceive easier.

Hey Fisher,

The more I know about TTC and pregnancy the more in awe I am of how all our bits actually work - and how different things can be from person to person.

Fx for the next test!

I''m still feeling good - hoping for our first baby, but 2nd time I''ve been pg (stupidly got KU when I was 21 and had a m/c two days before the termination I had scheduled - which was a relief for several reasons).

Hope you''re gearing up for some major bding peony! Yay for the good report of spermies!

Fisher, keep hanging in there! I''m not actually going to be testing any time soon (today was last day of AFF and we have to skip trying this month), but I was hoping to pick up some tests while I was visiting dh since we don''t have $trees here.

Am--I was not able to take the test, as it must be taken on CD3 and we didn''t get it in time. I will definitely take it next month if we don''t get a BFP this time around. However, I''m not sure how useful it will be for me; it''s a test of ovarian reserve (basically how close to menopause your ovaries/eggs are), and I''m 25 so that aspect of my fertility should be a-okay. Since my charts looked good, it made DH nervous that we didn''t get pregnant. He''s a scientist by nature and training, so he wanted to get some data about his fertility, not just mine.

Hi girls,

I would like to throw my hat in the TTC ring. I haven''t posted a ton on PS - usually only when I think I have something particularly helpful to add. But DH and I aren''t telling anyone in "real life" that we are starting to TTC and its driving me nuts not having anyone to tell, so I thought I''d join you gals. DH and I have been married about a year, living together for three. We were originally going to start TTC in the spring, but things just felt right, so here I am.

I''m not sure how much I''ll be posting at first, since we are starting earlier than planned we plan to TTC the lazy way for a few months (just bd''ing when we feel like it, no temping or charting). But I am sure I will be going that route if things don''t take in the first few months.

You seem like a wonderful group and I hope you all are KTFU soon - I am just starting to figure out all this lingo!

Welcome, NovemberBride! I know just how you feel. My in-laws know we''re TTC, as do my closest friends, but no one else. Not even my parents! Kick off your shoes and get comfortable.
1.gif

Peony- Good news about your husband! I knew all would be a-OK.

NYC- I''m sorry about AFF, love. Here''s to hoping you come home from Mexico with a souvenir!

Fisher- Fingers crossed you get your BFP tomorrow or the next day. When will you test again?

As for me, I''m officially in the 2ww. My mother is visiting this weekend, so she''ll keep my mind off the wait.

Welcome, NovemberBride. I hope you enjoy your stay (and that it''s short!!). The "natural" TTC was the most appealing to us, too, but I had to gather information that I actually do ovulate, and now I''m not able to be calm and just take it as it comes. I hope you get lots of information here.

****
Sabine,

I''m a nerd. I thought I read somewhere you were in the TWW. I guess I missed that you''d started a new cycle. Sorry. Hope this one is the one. You and Robbie are IRL friends, no? Wouldn''t it be cool to be preggo at the same time??

Ebree,

I don''t know when I''ll test again. I''ve been feeling really, really awful today (headache, lower back pain that is killer, and some cramping). I''m thinking I''m just mere hours or a day or two from AF. Again, with only the one BD day for this ovualtion, I don''t think there''s a big chance of being preggo. Every time I get a negative screen, I cry a little bit (I know, I know, silly, but true). I figure why do that to myself?

Wednesday will be day 15 DPO, so I may test then if nothing''s happened to prove I''m not preggo. I don''t know my LP length yet (first month charting), but I guess 15 DPO is a reasonable time to wait before testing again.

Then again, I could have a weak moment and do it tomorrow, for all I know. I never did buy any FRERs for this reason. I tried to get that coupon someone here mentioned a week back, but it wouldn''t print off for me so I asked to have it mailed to me and it''s not come yet. When that comes, I''ll buy a pack, but I think I''ll put them up somewhere so I can only take those when I think I really am preggo, since I have such an addiction to peeing in cups to dip sticks into.

I''m trying to just be really happy and pumped that I did at least ovulate (I''m pretty certain at this point) this cycle. Not sure how "regular" my cycle is now, but if next cycle is like this cycle, I should be ovulating around the end of October (around the 22-28 range), so at least that''s something to "know" (Kind of).

I''ll definitely temp next time around and BD as much as possible from CD 14 to when my temp spikes up into the 98 range. That''s more than we had to go off of this go round or the one before.

One thing about longer cycles is that it kind of feels like you get "cheated" out of times to try. Like, most women say "this month or next month" but a long cycler has to say "this cycle or next," since a cycle lapses through a month and sometimes the better part of the next month, too. So where a "regular" cycler gets 12 times a year to try to make a baby, an "irregular" cycler may get only 8 tries. If that.

That, apparently, is my whine for the day. Paul says I''ve been whiney all day. At least we had a GREAT Saturday!

It ain''t over yet, but your plan here sounds really good, just be sure to wait till you get 3 temps in that 98 range (one could be a fever or something)! I know this month was tough but look what you know now!! You ovulate! I know that seems like a silly thing, but with longer or irregular cycles, that is a really great piece of news. And you can plan now! Yippee! It''ll happen before you know it, and once it does you''ll be all like, "Remember how stressed I was? Wasn''t I silly" The human psyche is an amazing thing, it can get over anything and re-interpret it. A psychologist coined the term "Psychological Immune System" for this process, where we basically can rebound from so many things. I really think it is true. Good luck with the POAS!

Oh, I didn't realize you were 25. I'm 30, as is DH, and while we don't suspect that we have problems we both thought it might be encouraging to know for sure. In any case, thanks for sharing your experience!

ETA: I know these tests only assess ovarian reserve and sperm motility, but it'd be nice to know that all is in order on those fronts!

am04,

How are you feeling this evening? I hope you have a nice, long (but not TOO long) luteal phase.

Hey Robbie, congrats! Quick question- I was at the store today and noticed that they had clearblue digitals that claim to let you know if you are pregnant 5 days before your missed period (like FRER). Looks like I''m out this cycle, but I''m curious...was that the type of test you used? For some reason I thought everyone was using the clearblue digitals that required 50 miu but I''d think the ones I bought are more sensitive (since they say you can use them to test early). Anyway, just thought I''d ask.

Hey EBree!

First, hope your two week wait is fruitful...I know distractions like visitors help me pass the time. It''s funny because DH pointed out last night that I have (for the past 2 cycles) cooked and baked up a storm during the TWW. Lucky him!
3.gif

I''m feeling good, I know I shouldn''t be worried about the early spotting I just hope that the bleeding stays at bay for a couple more days. We decided that we are going to go to Disneyland on Saturday, something we wouldn''t do if I was pregnant, so I''m excited about that.

Anyway, thanks for asking!

I used the Clearblue Digis and got a BFP at 12DPO. They were the early test ones and also tell you 'how' pregnant you are. I'd never noticed them before so they may be new.

Am, I didn''t realize there was more than one type of CB digital. I have no idea actually and today is trash day so the box is gone.

Today''s temp is still in the 98.3 range, so I guess if tomorrow AMs is the same, I may test. Paul had wanted me to today, but I didn''t. Mondays a hard enough; why make it potentially worse?
20.gif

On Sunday, I went back to the beginning of this thread and read and skimmed through a ton of it. There is a lot of information, so much I can''t retain it all. I should act like I''m back in college and take notes.
2.gif

I''ve only been up for a little bit, but I''m feeling fine so far. It seems like lately I''ve been having low, low back pains, but I don''t know if that''s a sign of AFF for me or not because I''ve never kept a "log" or anything of that nature before. I also don''t remember (which is odd, since it''s something we experience so often since adolescence) how my cramping feels early on before I actually get my period, so I''m trying to analyze the crud outta everything.

I really, really love weekends, but at least by going back to work, I''ll have less time to pick apart everything I may or may not be feeling and then try to relate it to pregnancy.

As it is, I am still happy with this cycle, whether or not it results in a baby being conceived. I''ll be so happy and "proud" that I may post my chart one final time when it''s all complete, just to show off my ovulation.

Am04, are you about to test? If so, good luck, girl!!

hey ladies! Just checking in. I'm on CD12 so not too much going on for me. Our plan this month (or mine...I try to keep DH out of the loop on BD plans...he likes to think it's spontaneous...hehehe) is every other day starting on CD10 thru CD20. There is no way we can do everyday, too old
9.gif
So I figure every other will have to do! Besides, this is my first month charting so I really have no idea when I ovulate. I'm excited to see what my chart looks like at the end of the month regardless if we get KTFU this month!

Good luck this month ladies!!

Hi, guys. Just dropping by to say we are now officially TTC! I went off of birth control last month so we are hopeful it will happen soon. My 3 year old little boy has been asking for a brother or sister for a while now....he even drew our family at his preschool which included a 4 people...I asked him who they were and he said "mommy, daddy, me and our baby". I told him we didn''t have a baby yet and he said "I know, but we "ebenchually" will!" I am so excited and have been thinking of names all morning!
