ETA: The title got messed up...it was supposed to say "The million and first question about a particular princess cut diamond"

What do you all think? Looks awesome to me. My only concern is that the center of the stone is fairly dark...should that be a concern?

Matt, it's AGS0...ideal cut, as good as it gets! Now go put that stone on hold before somebody else snaps it up! Great choice!!!!

ETA: I see it says reserved! Congrats!

I second DiamondSeeker''s response, and as for your concern about the center being dark, honestly I didn''t notice that so much as I was blown away by the symmetry of this stone! It looks like a great one and I wouldn''t expect less from WF''s ACA brand.

Thank you for your replies! That was what I felt...I am torn between buying from a local acquaintence (and overpaying slightly) and having them custom make a ring or buying this online and needing to find someone else to make the ring (this local place I''m dealing with will not set a different stone). Guess I will just have to weigh the decision a little while longer.

Is it just me or does the IS image of the one I am considering show the red color as not as bright as some other images?? Does this mean there is not as much light being returned? Below I have compared the stone I am considering with a different AGS0 princess.

The one I''m considering:

The other one that is AGS0 (but smaller)

Nah, just the lighting difference in the photos, Matt! It is FINE, really! I have not bought from WF before, but judging from some beautiful examples posted on this forum, I''d highly recommend just having them set your stone. That way it is covered while being set, and when it comes, you can immediately get it insured (as it will come with an insurance appraisal).

You know, WF does do awesome custom work.

Lovely stone! Go for it! Can''t wait to see the setting you pick!

Matt- That IS looks great! I do hope you snatched it up.

FI purchased my princess e-ring thru WF. We were very pleased with the experience (we didn''t go custom)

Yes I see the darkness that you are talking about but it is perfectly spread out!!! Darkness like this is bad if it''s in just one spot or the sym is off. I just didn''t consider stones that were off. And that''s when I was just going by photos, like you are.

This stone isn''t "off" Grab it.
