Wonderful reading, the history, modern times with plenty of photos/illustrations and it covers all aspects of diamond both hard fact and poetic. Here is the poetic excerpt that inspired me to share the book this morning...
"The diamond - far more than glass, and even more than the prismatic rock crystal - pulls in light and bends it into it's center as if it were a magnet catching a hairpin".
