I am a proud new owner of a beautiful Cushion ring! And newly engaged!!!!
Both my fiance and I found the information shared by many in this forum invaluable when making our decision (he was sweet/smart enough to let us pick it out together).
From deciding the type of look i wanted, to the color, to being comfortable with an unknown (to me) cert (HRD), to our decision to work with local B&M Charleston Alexander, I found all the information to be comfortable with this huge decision here in this forum.
Thank you all for posting and providing such helpful information to others before me, so i could read and learn without driving my boyfriend too crazy.
We looked at online vendors, pics, posts galore and assumed we were going to get something online. Which i''m sure would have worked out fine too. But when we were ready to take the plunge on the center stone, i wanted to try on settings, so we went into Charleston Alexander (the Bethesda location) just to look and ended up finding a beautiful stone, and setting at prices we were very comfortable with.
If anyone is in the Washington DC area and looking for something right now, they are running some wonderful specials. But had we not done so much research here ahead of time, i''m certain we wouldn''t have felt comfortable making a decision on the spot (well, we weren''t hasty, we were there for 4 hours!)
here''s the info on the stone:
1.76 Cushion G SI1 Table 62% Faceted with a more antique than modern look
I just love it. Tell me what you think, and if i can answer any questions for others that are looking i would love to.
Thanks again!
