Hi PSers, I have now read every single post
34.gif
on this forum for Tension Set and Titanium. It took HOURS! I have emailed Bruce Boone at Boone Rings. Now I want to hear from YOU. Those that bought and wear tension set diamonds.
1. Do you like?
2. Any concerns?
3. Would you buy again?
4. Any problems?
5. How often do you wear?
6, And of course the dreaded...HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR STONE FALL OUT!?!?

I know some folks may come and go from this website, once they make their purchase. I am hoping to find some folks that are still around after several years and can weigh in on these settings.

Here I am ready to buy one and I have never even seen one!! I am off to the mall to check out titanium in person...since I have never even seen a titanium ring before!

Thanks again to everyone that makes this website so special!

Bobbi

1. Do you like?

Yep, its still really cool, yet modern and classic (at least my style is, some of the tension settings are a bit weird to me)
2. Any concerns?

Well, not so much concerns, but things you shoudl be aware of: They tend to be wider bands than most solitaires, which can make your diamond appear a little smaller. The wider bands do make it easy to have a flush set wedding band though. Also, since you can see so much of the diamond, when I show my ring to people, I find myself explaining that the line halfway down the diamond is a reflection of the girdle and not a crack in my beautiful diamond. :) People probably think I'm crazy. Also, I probably would have gone for a lower clarity diamond (SI) rather than VS 'cause of concerns that it wouldn't work in a tension mount. So that factor made my diamond a little more expensive. Not a huge difference though since my diamond is only .87 ct.
3. Would you buy again?

Yes
4. Any problems?

None
5. How often do you wear?

Just about every day for the past 5 years. They are really wearable rings, since there are no prongs to catch on things and the diamond sits very low.
6, And of course the dreaded...HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR STONE FALL OUT!?!?

Nope, and I'm not concerned about it at all. I personally don't like the faux tension settings with the bar underneath. It takes away from the beauty and uniqueness of the setting IMO.

I don''t own one, but I can say that Bruce Boone is awesome to deal with. If I wanted a tension set, I would buy from him in a heartbeat. We bought my husband''s wedding band from Bruce and he''s great.
