Hi,
Well since I am so indecisive about settings, I did set my stone in a 4 prong simple setting as I was impatient to wear it. I am used to wearing a three stone ER. I had asked opinions about side stones or halo settings from all of you and received great advice. I wil wear it like this for the time being until I decide on my forever setting. Still can't get great pictures. I will have to wait until my husband sets up the tripod to get better ones.

You can't go wrong w/ a classic--beautiful!

It looks gorgeous on you! I think a classic setting like what you've chosen (for now) could end up more 'long term temporary'!! Take your time, maybe you'll end up just loving the simplicity of this and focus on the diamond?

Who knows- but congrats on the 25 years of marriage and a beautiful stone!

Well, I'll tell you what, that looks so darn pretty I agree with Enerchi that this could be a permanent temporary setting! I guess I'm just a sucker for a big rock of a solitaire - I know this is a large stone, but it looks really huge on you! What is your finger size? It looks amazing, and until you decide what you want this is a really pretty look!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I am liking it so far as a solitaire. I am a size 4.75 but it is so hard to get over my knuckle. When I do a permanent setting I will need a ring mate type of shank. My husband is so funny . He keeps asking to see my finger. He is as excited as I am about my new treasure!

So pretty just as it is!

It looks fabulous just the way it is!!!

That's an amazing ring!! As much as I love settings with a little something interesting there's no denying the beauty of that classic solitaire!

Stunning and I love the classic elegance of a solitaire. :appl:

I love it! It's definitely a classic!

It looks beautiful! Congratulations on your anniversary!

Wow! Huge and beautiful!

It looks gorgeous!

I don't know that I would ever reset it - I think it looks beautiful in that very simple setting!

It is absolutely beautiful the way it is - it's a gorgeous diamond and looks terrific on your hand.

ETA: Happy Anniversary!

I love it just as it is. It's absolutely gorgeous!!!

Congrats! Beautiful size and shape!

It really is perfect as is!!! Congrats on your anniversary ring and how cute that your DH is as excited as your are!

I missed your thread the first time around. What a gorgeous ring!!! A center stone this beautiful doesn't need anything extra. It's a beautiful setting for your diamond.

It looks great. And honestly, when you are fortunate enough to have such a HUGE rock, I sort of think a solitaire or a setting with very small side stones is best. You want people to be able to see that its one big huge honker, rather than a blur of many stones.

Thanks Marina87, Yennyfire,

Funny I just looked this morning at Show me the Bling forum and saw my original post from April.
I am enjoying my ring and have stopped obsessing over which setting to do for my ring for awhile.
I have thought seriously about Acinom's setting because I love the French cut stones. I'm not sure if it will look as good with a modern brilliant though. I just love her setting because it still shows off the center stone as a solitaire.
I still look often but not as crazily to see if anything will hit me and say do it. Problem is there are so many beautiful settings on this forum that it is hard to choose!!

Gorgeous ring!!!

I am also wearing my diamond in a solitaire and simply cannot decide on a permanent setting. And it is just too expensive to change settings every couple of years! But seriously, I love a modern round brilliant the most in a solitaire setting. It doesn't need another thing other than maybe a diamond wedding band to wear with it!

This might be a double post but I love your setting as it is. It's stunning!!
