Full disclosure: I am a newbie to diamonds and I admit that a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing! So, here's my take:

You've picked a pretty good diamond based on HCA (https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca). Not excellent spread but still very good. And it grades as 1A for cut (https://www.pricescope.com/tools/AGA_NAJA_Cut_Class_Grader).

At VS2, you should expect eye-cleanliness and possible identification at 10X if you know what you're looking for. However, there are examples of VS2 stones that are less eye clean than others. The grade setting inclusion (cloud) seems to be under the table, it's worthwhile cofirming what it's black or not and how visible it is at 10X (or the naked eye up close).

The problem with Blue Nile is that they don't have the actual diamonds with them (I believe). I've not dealt with them so I don't know if they can provide Idealscope images (at minimum) of their diamonds. There's more security in purchasing their signature brand, but they are more expensive.

added later:

If you find that Blue Nile can't provide you Idealscope images or at least a 10X picture of the diamond, consider looking at other vendors. Here's one I found on James Allen in their H&A line for about $600 more (note that's with the PriceScope discount; another 1.5% off if you wire). This one is a 1.35, G, VS2:

I'm not pushing this particular diamond but just presenting an alternative. Again, I'm no expert, but I did buy mine from James Allen and found talking to their gemologist (who had the diamond in front of her) to be very helpful.

It should be a very nice stone. Angles play well together.

BN has a great return policy so if it's not what you think, you can return.

Thanks for the responses everyone!

About the 1.35 GVS2. The 1.4 scored higher on both HCA and AGA so I'm not sure why it didn't make the cut for BN's Signature Ideal... My guess is the Medium to Slightly Thick Girdle. But for the extra .05ctw I think the 1.4 is a better deal despite the H compared to the 1.35's G.

Anyone else's thoughts on this?

Thanks guys!

BN signature ideal has to have the following (from BN website)

Signature Round Standards:
Depth %: 60.1-61.9%
Table %: 55.0-57.0%

The 1.4 I have on hold has those characteristics...?

Out of curiosity, I just looked this up and found:

So, BN signature line are diamonds that have "exceptional" symmetry (i.e., hearts and arrows).

You do have a good diamond on hold. It seems like a good price, too, considering the recent increases.
