I can so relate to this. When he was home my son would tease me mercilessly about my greasiness, ostentatiously wiping his phone after I used it lol. In 55 years I've tried more face creams/systems than I can count, from the sublime (Clinique) to the ridiculous (La Prairie). I have been a constant user of retin-A and sunscreen for many, many years. I'm doing Dr Perricone now and it's good. These days it's hyaluronic acid, but it's always about removing the top layer faster than it wants to shed itself.

Now if they found a cream that would block the effects of gravity I'd be on it! I debated posting a photo, but figured at this point I don't care + sunglasses. The red cheeks are from the blow dryer, and demonstrate my tendency toward rosacea when faced with heat. Lip gloss only, no makeup, no retouching (which I have seen many, many times. We should all look as good as the photo retouching apps make us lol)

Lol you guys are so nice. I see pictures of myself and all I can think is "what's Mom doing in that photo?". Although my mother and her husband are avid golfers and I can see what all the sun exposure has done to her skin, even with sunscreen.

My skin changed when I hit forty. Darn hormones! Acne just arrived out of nowhere like I plague. I have been using the Mary Kay Clear Proof system since, for my face neck and back/shoulder area. I also use pure organic coconut oil to moisturize the rest of the body.
I recieve more compliments now about my skin did I did when I was twenty years younger.

Turns out having a lightly oily skin and a few zits isnt so bad as my skin is still soft at almost (whispering) 50
i have some fine crows feet, expression forrows between my eyebrows and ive had bags under my eyes since i was 9
But im not unhappy about it

i get more frustrated seeing the 23 year olds advertising wrinkle cream
