Tanzanian Blue Spinel A Day Early!

They do mail fast in Michigan! My spinel arrived ahead of schedule -- pics below. It is a gray freezing icky day & this critter is a bear to photograph -- the camera does not see what the eye does & vice versa. Bet nobody else has experienced that. Vendor pic first, 2nd one was inside, incandescent light. 3rd outside -- picked up reflections of an elm tree. My green tourm from Ed Bristol came along for the ride.

Specs on spinel: 2.96 ct., 7.75 square antique cushion x 5.75 mm. Hope to do better tomorrow w/some sun.

Done by Roger Dery, BabyNurse. It's so much better than it photographs -- the color looks a saturated sky blue in some lights & angles, weeeeeny green modifier in others & barely a hint of purple sometimes. More pics tomorrow, I hope, if I can find some good light.
