Hi everyone,

I've been a longtime lurker. From the website, I realized how much I love the Ritani non-halo micropave setting. My boyfriend (now fiance) surprised me with that setting (with a round diamond)! It's absolutely gorgeous.

I want to make sure I take good care of my ring and clean it properly. Anybody with a pave setting (or this exact setting) have any tips on how to clean it properly and take care of it? I don't wear to sleep or wear it when I'm working out or cleaning.

Thanks!

Sorry I am no help with how to clean it but can you post a pic of youring? I'm in the process of unhaloing my RB ring and getting it set in a pave setting...So I would Love to see your hand pics :appl:

Congratulations on your engagement! Ritani rings are beautiful!

It is usually recommended to not put pave in an ultrasonic cleaner. So the best thing you can do is soak it in jewelry cleaner a few times a week and rinse with hot water. On rare occasion you can use a soft baby toothbrush but don't do that often because it could still scratch. Instead of a jar of jewelry cleaner, you can always use a bowl of hot water with a drop of Dawn and a squirt of Windex (if the setting is platinum). Then rinse well.

Thank you Diamondseeker for the cleaning tip! I have been worrying about how to clean it while still taking care of it.

Iluvprettyrocks, I will post pictures soon. For some reason, I can't get my pictures to upload, so am trying to figure it out. The setting is really pretty. It looks really delicate, if that is the look you are going for :).

For the images, you usually have to reduce the file size to 2MB or less. Otherwise, the PS server seems to reject the image or upload the same image multiple times. At least, that was the problem I was having.

... looking forward to seeing pics. :loopy:

Let's hope this works! These are pics from my phone. I've been a little slow taking proper pics of the ring :loopy:

The side view is also very pretty. There are also little diamonds on the basket.

btw...any recommendations for jewelry cleaners or just anyone one for precious jewelry work?

I swear by a little dawn dish soap, warm water, and a baby soft toothbrush
