My SO (now FI) went to Maine for our vacation and he popped the question on Sand Beach in Acadia National Park during sunrise!!! The beach and autumn are favorites of mine, so the proposal was very special! Acadia was crowded during the peak leaf season, so FI made it certain we got the beach to ourselves. We watched the sunrise as a few photographers were taking their photos, and then left. He said something sweet and took the ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him!!! Of course I said yes!!

So, onward with the photos.

It was between a princess and emerald cut for me, and when I tried on the emerald cuts, it just looked better than the square cut. I also LOVE the classic beauty that the emerald cut portrays, and you get that with the ascher as well! Good luck deciding between the two!
