Ordered a circle bracelet set from
CMW and a Tahitian drop pendant from kojima and wanted to share pics in case others were interested in these vendors.

Cmw pearls in HK: quick customer support when the package went awry and quick to answer questions. Ordered this bracelet set called “Bling”. 9mm circle Tahitians that they rated AAA (their scale goes A,AA,AAA, Top).

In person they are still colorful but not nearly as rainbow bright, but I expected that.

I quite like the deep structural/textural ridges of the circles and the variations of colors. Definitely not for those who love perfect round shapes or blemish free skins. It’s all about beauty in celebrating irregularity in my opinion.

Th luster is quite metallic and sharp!

I will say the vendor photos didn’t include views from the bottom where I’d say most of the blemishes are. There are also some on the “back” of it when worn but they’re not very noticeable and the front is nice and smooth!

I’d say if blemishes really bother you I’d email and ask for descriptions of the blemishes and pics of them to avoid any disappointment as the photos dont always show them well.

I’m happy with it though. Love the shape and colors and size. Feels very lux

I’m not happy with the layout of my pearl chain right now. Seems too chunky for layering. Hmm. Will probably play around with the akoyas and circles to see if I can come up with something better.

@MakingTheGrade -Thanks for your honest review.Your pearls are lovely and glad you are happy with them! I would be too.

FYI- I have been disappointed in the past by the higher end pearl vendors who have not IMHO adequately described blemishes in Tahitian pearls. I wish we would not have to ask them to disclose blemishes that may not be evident in photos but it is what it is. Your recommendation to email and ask questions is spot on.

They are all so beautiful!
The drop pearl is TDF!
It reminds me of La Peregrina. I love a large pendant on a long chain that you can hold and touch while you are wearing it.

I put some in my pearl chain as above. And the other i put into a bracelet.

And I also ordered this enormous 14mm wide Tahitian drop pendant from kojima.

I love ringed Tahitians for the same reasons - the beautiful imperfections with color being ringed pearls. Putting them side by side with the smooth, round perfection of your other pearls is such a great contrast.

I really like this integration of the long necklace. The big pearl is GREAT.

Thanks. It certainly is handy for drawing attention to certain areas if you’re wearing the right neckline haha.

Edgy ! :kiss2:
Thanks for tagging me when you debut new looks for my favourite PS piece ;)2

Haha thanks! Yeah the last layout was getting a bit to traditional for me.

Once I’m confident I’m happy with the layout I’m going to upgrade the chain and findings to solid gold and not the gold plated stuff I’m using now. I wanna be confident I like the look first cause gold ain’t cheap right now!

Haha I'm frugal so I usually buy things second hand and chop them up :)
I get specific jewelry findings from etsy usually

Hope you can find a suitable chain on Ebay at melt prices. I love this design with the pearls to one side.

I actually have a 30” 14k chain I can take apart if I decide I like this set up!

Such cool pieces!! I just saw all the photos of the flower pendant in an earlier post and WOW.

Is there any different protocols for caring for pearls on a chain versus traditional string? I know regular strands need to be restrung, but what about pearls connected with metal? Should they get checked regularly like the prongs of other pieces of jewelry?

I actually have no idea! All the white akoyas in these pieces are still knotted with strong and then attached. The circles have wires. I’ll check on them intermittently to see if damage is happening from the wire rubbing against the pearl. The Tahitian circles we’re fairly cheap compared to the akoyas and I have extras so I’m not too worried about them.

I will say I don’t wear blazers or suits or business casual to work. And I don’t work in an office. I’m often in fact wearing scrubs which is basically hospital pajamas. Haha. And for me having pearls mixed with chain feels more “wearable” and less dressy than a strand. At least to me. Part of that might also be that growing up I only ever saw somewhere wearing a white pearl strand necklace at weddings and formal occasions.

I saw diamonds and T-shirt’s but not so much pearls and T-shirt’s.

Yay hospital pajamas!! The whole look is really stunning. Thanks for sharing!

I asked about the chain look because my husband has surprised me with a pearl necklace that isn't a traditional white pearl strand and I honestly have no idea what the care will involved (checking to make sure the chain isn't rubbing is a great idea). I have regularly strung akoya pearls but this necklace is in a league of its own for sure. :-o

Here's the picture I have from our jeweler @Daisys and Diamonds - they arrive tomorrow and I can finally see them IRL then and will take all the glorious pictures and video I can!

I couldn't sleep last night knowing they were coming. :eek2: I don't think I'll sleep well tonight either.

DH shared that I was getting a surprise this weekend and eventually shared a picture with me because he knows me best - this was completely unexpected and he knew I would I need to mentally prepare myself to even accept something like this.
