Tacori Rings

I need some help from folks who have tacori rings. Did you get your diamonds set from Tacori or did you have your own jeweler set them? I am currently looking around for a good price on a tacori 2620 ring with a 1.4 ct rd diamond. I've found a website that I am prepared to order from but I can possibly save the most money if I buy buy the diamond and ring separately. My concerns for doing this is the void in warranty from tacori and ensuring the diamond fits perfectly with the setting. Any feedback will be appreciated. thanks

I have the exact same question. The jeweler from which I am looking to buying a Tacori ring told me if he set the diamond it would not be an issue with the Tacori warranty. However, I don't know whether to take his word for it - the Tacori site says "work performed by an outside jeweler may compromise the integrity of the piece, thus, no future work by Tacori can be “guaranteed” after outside work has been performed." I would like this question clarified as well and also whether having the ring cleaned by the authorized retailer could void the warranty. I emailed Tacori with this question which according to an automatic email I received may take up to two weeks for me to get a response. Also, there is no direct phone number to contact a rep from Tacori, which I think is ridiculous. This is making me question whether I really want a Tacori ring.
