Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and new to the diamond world. I am about to propose to my girlfriend and would love some help. I am looking to purchase a Tacori 2578RD6.5 model with approx a 0.8-1 carat diamond that I also have not purchased yet. I''ve checked many jewelers but received the best price at Chicago Diamond Center. Though they say they sell Tacori''s, they''re not listed on Tacori''s website. Has anyone had experience with them?

Many thanks to everyone in advanced.

I have never been there, but I purchased a Tacori ring at a place called State Street Jewelers in Geneva IL. They did a good job, and they guarantee everything.

Hope this helps!

I can''t tell from your post whether you''re buying your diamond online or not, but if so, Goodoldgold sells Tacori, so you could do some one stop shopping there.

Just a heads up, in case!

If they are not listed as an authorized tacori vendor, I would be suspicious. There are many who sell Tacori fakes and as a dealer of Tacori myself, I speak of about a five year history.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I''m planning on purchasing it online. I am a little suspicious too since on Tacori''s website their company isn''t listed as an authorized dealer.

Does anyone have an opinion on vvs2 vs vs2? I am looking for a diamond but don''t know what''s right from left? What is considered the ideal table and depth %? I''ve read the resources here, but its all so daunting

Then I really would suggest getting the setting and diamond at the same place, it makes it easier, and cheaper. GOG is great to work with, and they carry outstanding stones.

As far as depth and table, roughly 60-62 depth, 54 to 57ish table.

VVS2 is definitely overkill. Vs2-SI1 (eyeclean) should be your targets. .

If you''d like help in finding one, we love to help.

Bailey Banks and Biddle sell Tacori settings. BUT... if you bring in an outside diamond they will charge you $500 extra! I guess they don''t want that kind of business.

It will be much easier if you buy the diamond and setting at the same place. GOG seems like a great choice here!

Tokens Jewelry - Question for you. Was curious if my tacori style was popular. BA4190???

BA4190 is a style that is a few years old. We have sold it many times but our best sellers are always the newer advertised styles.

Thanks everyone,

I am going to try and purchase both the diamond and band together. Hopefully it will be cheaper as stated
