First of all, let me say how great it is to have such a valuable resource on the net for consumers to have their diamond questions answered!

After reviewing countless certificates, I''ve noticed that some of them mention internal and surface graining in the comments section. In particular, I''m interested in a stone that hasthese comments along with the following specs:

1.03
D
SI1
61.3% Depth
57% Table
VG Polish
VG Symmetry
GIA Cert
No cutlet.
No fluorescence.
Medium Girdle
$6,339
I''m waiting on the Sarin to calculate the HCA score.

Should I be concerned with the graining comments?

Thanks!

Graining is a natural characteristic of the diamond crystal. There is no way to remove it, so it's not a reflection of the cut quality.

IMO, if it's not eye-visible (and I can't see how it could be--it's tough enough to spot under magnification), it's a non-issue.
