Suggestions on a setting to look good with my wedding band

Dear Pricescopers,

I am looking for inspirations on settings. My stone is a 1.48 antique cusion which is currently set in custom unplated WG setting. Now that I have worn the ring for some month, I realize that I am not quite happy with the prongs (I would rather have thin claw double prongs instead). Thinking that I would like to tweak the setting brought me to the idea that I possibly should consider a completely different setting.

Main reason for this is that I would love a setting that would work with my wedding band. Due to religios reasons I cannot consider any other wedding band. My current wedding band is very solid and seems to dwarf my ring quite a bit. The wedding band is 3.5 mm thick and nearly 2 mm high.

Would you have any suggestion of the settings that might work with it? I am currently open to pretty much any type of setting

Are you allowed to put prongs on your wedding band and set your diamond in it? Then you could have a variety of sparkly bands to go with it. Here is the wedding set of another poster, named Harleigh, who has that style. Here is the thread with pictures of her wedding set https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/pix-of-my-birthday-engagement-ring.65684/page-3

Warm regards,

How would you feel about a ering that had engraving on it? Would it be allowable to engrave your current wedding band?
I think that would be really lovely and would soften the lines of your wedding band.

Maybe something like this but a little wider? Engrave your wedding band to match...

Just to show beautiful engraving...

Maybe a metal shank like this if you dont like the engraving idea...

double band with pave

I think a double wide band like this would go nicely with your wedding band.

This has more the lines of your wedding band but is thinner with double prongs

Patty, thank you very much for your suggestion. I am afraid, this will not work. The smooth ring symbolizes the smooth life that the couple should have in marriage, which is the reason our rings do not have any embellishments

Tyty333, thank you very much for showing me those links. Though I love engraving, due to the reason mentioned above I would need to find some setting that matches my band in its current state..

Nevertheless, as for the settings you have mentioned:

I pretty much like the lines of Vitoria setting, this might actually work with my band.
Suave is gorgeous and I am most hopeful that it would work. I absolutely love the modern look of it.
Dahlia is to die for, but unfortunately would contract too much with the sleek modern band.
Legacy might be a consideration, though I am having hard time imagining the two rings together.

Once I am slightly more sure about the direction, I would probably need to ask the vendor to make some photos with any plain wedding band they have around to visualize this better.

Oh and BTW, that engraved semi-bezel is absolutely gorgeous. i would go for it if I had a round stone, but I do not like the look of cushions in semi bezel

Re: Suggestions on a setting to look good with my wedding ba

I just realized that Knox jewellers do not sell their settings separately - only with the stones bought om them.
Would anyone have more suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks, Diamondseeeker. I love that solitaire. It is definitely an inspiration for me
