Successful Weekend & Invites

Hey girls,

I haven''t posted in a while because I''ve been extremely busy at work. This time of year is awful at my firm. Anyway, most of that is over now and I was finally able to get a bunch of wedding related things checked off of my list this weekend! On Saturday, I met with the site coordinator and finalized the menu, picked the linens and dishes, picked the cake, and finalized most of the little details. Needless to say I''m ecstatic to have all of that done. I think I''ll post another thread with a collage and more details for those interested. I do need your help deciding on a signature drink to be passed during the cocktail hour. We will have open bar too so it doesn''t have to be something that appeals to everyone. I would like for it to either be turquoise or apple green in color. The coordinator suggested green apple martinis or hypnotique. I''ve never had hypnotique though, so I''m not sure what it''s like. Any other suggestions?

Also, on Sunday I got my invites from the designer!!! I love them. I went to the post office today to have them weighed and purchase stamp. I never thought about how expensive it is to mail them! The price of postage is going up on May 11th so for all of you ladies about to mail out invites, try to get them out before then! Anyway I will post a picture of them later when I get home from work.

blue curacao is great for making drinks blue, and you can pair it with just about anything. you could make blue cosmopolitans, blue margaritas, all KINDS of stuff. this website has several blue cocktails on there with pictures. hope it helps! btw, LOVE your colors--we''re using something similar--hence my having a webpage with blue cocktails already in my favorites!

appletinis and key limetinis are both delicious. i recently had a key limetini with graham cracker crumbs around the rim, and it was to die for.

I tried taking pictures of the invites last night but they didn''t come out well. So I took some more this morning. It''s been really rainy here in the Northeast so they''re not the best.

Basil- Thanks hun! How is your planning going? Has Sofia gotten better about responding to you? She''s very talented but it''s been painful getting things from her. She was almost 15 days late getting me the invites.

Hey sap,

I realized I missed this and I had to come back and find your invites! Sofia did a great job on yours, even if she is a little slow. Once I initially called her out, her response time seemed to improve, and it''s just been me that''s been slow getting back to her these days.

I love how the map turned out! Maybe I''ll ask her to do one for me, too. I thought maybe that 4 inserts was too many, but yours look great!
