I just perused through a thread round vs. oval and that got me thinking do diamond studs exist in say oval or chunky cushion cuts. Would they look sparkly. If so, I need to start saving up for a pair of studs in a halo setting

They definitely do exist (or can be made)! I think people tend to stick predominantly with rounds because you don''t have to worry about which way is up with a round stone, whereas a fancy shape might look odd if it rotates.

Yep- I am way too OCD to have asymmetrical studs

However, I would love oval or cushion dangles- because they would be fixed in the right orientation

My friend has marquise diamond studs. One used to be her e-ring. They look very nice, actually. I''d guess they were about .40 total weight, but since marquise looks bigger, they look bigger than a comparable round, while still having a lot of sparkle.
From seeing her marquise, I would guess oval would look just fine.
Doesn''t anyone on PS have cushion cut studs? I know I have seen OEC studs on here (several times).

Why don''t you search for the show me your studs thread. I know several different shapes, such as pear or emerald, are shown on there and there may be cushion. I forget exactly what the thread is called, but it has about 400 pictures and is a useful resource.

I have seen a set of EC threads IRL and they were lovely.

Those are on my wish list.

I would say they would sparkle differently but still be nice. I have a pair of oval blue sapphires (a lighter blue) and they are quite sparkly.
