Storing Diamond Rings

My mother still has her original wedding set from 1971. She has decided she wants to store it and give it to my daughter when she turns 18 in 3 years. However, she does not have or want to purchase a fireproof safe to store the rings in to keep them safe. What are some other ways to store this wedding set to prevent it from being stolen or damaged?

In a safety deposit box at your bank. This is the safest place to store valuables if you do not want to purchase a safe. However, I would suggest she have a trusted family member listed on the access information at the bank and have a key so that if something happens to your mother, another person can retrieve the valuable items from the safety deposit box.

I agree. A safety deposit box would be the way to go.
