Stones in Phoenix, Arizona

Hi everyone, I am in Phoenix for a work trip (can't seem to time a business trip to AZ during any of the gem shows!) and wondering if there are any interesting shops or cutters here where I can browse some semi-precious and precious stones?

Yep just checked, he's in Arizona but in Yuma which is a 3h car ride away from Phoenix.

I believe they are the jeweler that gives tours out to the four peaks arizona amethyst mines and are located in Fountain Hills which isn't too far if you have a car. There's a 4 peaks mine tourist store that looks like it is out near one of the casinos which I would skip. It looks like Sami fine jewelry is an actual store which has jewelry from the amethyst found at the mine and other gems. I did check the schedule and it doesn't look like they have anything scheduled until September for mine tours. I've never had the opportunity to check it out before I had moved. I'm hoping to see if they have a mine tour at the holidays. There isn't much between Phoenix and Yuma so it can be a boring drive without great cell phone coverage so I would pass on that. My two favorite restaurants that I miss out there are "joe's farm grill" which is near gilbert and Lo-Lo's (fried-chicken and waffles)that is on central ave, not too far from the airport. There are other Lo-Los now around phoenix, gilbert, scottsdale but the one downtown phoenix is the best. Enjoy your visit!
